Lil's POV:

Monday. 1st Septmber. AKA my first day at Westriver High.

My alarm goes off at six, an hour and a half before Bryce told me to be ready. I have to quickly shower, french plait my hair, put on some light makeup: eyebrows, mascara, concealer and powder, and get dressed.
Last night i decided to wear my new, blue, ripped mom jeans with a thick black belt, a red ripped, cropped t-shirt, and my old-school vans. Now i'm not so sure.

Dad calls me down for breakfast and i see he's made a special effort, making my favourite fluffy pancakes, with a thick layer of nutella. Plus, he's even blended me a strawberry and banana smoothie. He can tell i'm nervous, and pulls me into a tight hug.
"You can call me anytime, call me whenever you need me," he tells me, i nod my head in reply.

*Beep Beep*

"That must be Bryce," i say, finishing the last of my pancake.
"bye Dad, love you" i kiss his cheek, rushing to the door.

"Goodbye, pet," i hear as i close the front door.

"This is Maya, and this is Mikey." Bryce tells me, as i get in the back of his red Alpha Romeo.

"So this is the famous Lil then," Maya jokes, i softly laugh, unsure of what that should mean.

"Bryce has told us a lot about you, Lil. He's right, you are hot."

I blush as Bryce swats Mikey, groaning, seeming a bit embarrassed.

I hope they're going to help me settle in at school, my nerves are building and building as we get closer to school.

"Hey, are you alright?" Maya whispers, so the boys in the front can't hear.

"Um, i'm just really nervous, i feel a bit queasy."

"Okay," she says, still quietly, before telling Bryce to pull over. He pulls over almost immediately, and Maya jumps out of her side of the car, running round to open my door.

"Get some fresh air," she tells me, leading me onto the pathway. "I know exactly how you feel, i only moved here last year."

Hearing her tell me that soothes me slightly, i would've had no idea that she hadn't always been friends with the boys, she fits in with them so well, i only hope i can find people that i fit in with as well as she does with Bryce and Mikey.

We get back in the car, and the boys check i'm okay before Bryce starts to drive again. Within minutes we're parking outside the biggest school i've ever seen. The three of them walk me in and Bryce tells me he'll take me to reception to get my timetable.

Bryce's POV:

I didn't think someone as cool and calm as her could be scared about starting a new school. I just want to tightly hug her and reassure her, i know she'll be okay.

As we walk through the school together, i see a single tear fall down her cheek. I take her hand and gently pull her into the nearest empty classroom.

"Hey," i say "Lil, i promise, i'll look after you. I promise."

"Thanks," she says, still unconvinced.

I lift her chin and stare straight into her deep brown eyes. "I promise," i tell her again. She holds my gaze and i brush my thumb across her cheek, wiping her tears away.
