Y/N's POV:

There is no way that I have powers! Of all the people in the world to get random powers from a statue, of course it was me!!

I couldn't take my E/C eyes off of the ice that had formed in front of me. I felt my hands shaking out of fear. I can't believe I just did that! I looked down at my hands, they seemed to still be glowing blue. I looked around to make sure no one was there. I trained my eyes on a rock that was not to far away. I concentrated on the rock and pictured it freezing in my mind. I then pushed my hands towards the rock and a blue string of magic shot out of my hand and froze the rock. I gasped and took a step back, shocked at what I had just done. As my foot touched the ground ice formed around where I stepped. I yelped and ran backwards and collapsed at the base of the statue. I wrapped my arms around my legs as the ice took formed from where I stepped. Tears streamed down my face as the ice continued to grow. I buried my head in my knees, praying to Irene to make it stop.

I dared to look up and the ice was gone. I looked around frantically, wondering where the ice that was once there was. I looked straight ahead where my E/C eyes met the red eyes of Lucinda. She looked at me with shock.

I took a shuttered breath and said, "I-I didn't mean too."

I looked away from Lucinda and started crying. Scared of what happened, scared that I may have lost trust with my village. Although Phoenix Drop wasn't against magic users, after what happened with Aphmau, they didn't exactly seem welcome to the idea of more magic users in the village. I didn't want to scare them, that was the last thing I wanted to do. I didn't want to make them lose another lord.

All these thoughts were so consuming that I didn't notice Lucinda come beside me and sit on the ground next to me. She drew me out of my thoughts by putting her hand on my shoulder.

I jumped a little at her touch and looked at her, part of my H/C hair covering my eyes.

She let out a sigh and got up, her tone turning serious, "We need to talk."

I sigh and nod, getting off the ground and following her. As we made our way down Lucinda handed me a F/C cloak.

"Here, you may want to wear this. Don't think you want anyone to know you were crying."

I took the cloak out of her hand and put it on, pulling up the hood to where you could not see my E/C eyes, but you could see my S/C complexion and my H/L H/C hair. I followed Lucinda closely, our pace quickening so no one would see us, but to my luck we happened to run into Brendan.

"Oh, h-hey Lucinda. I hope that you are doing well! Lord Y/n is that you? Hardly recognized you with that cloak on," he said with a little chuckle.

Lucinda sighed and said, "Brendan, we don't have time for this so if you could move me and Lord Y/N have some business to discuss."

She grabbed my wrist and walked past Brendan, running into his shoulder, and dragged me towards her tower. Thankfully we were able to reach the tower without running into anybody else. She then led me upstairs where many potions were lined against the wall. She drug you over to a chair and pushed you onto the chair. I was a little shocked but relaxed a little, knowing no one could see me. I removed the hood and looked as Lucinda paced the floor, occasionally talking to her familiar. She then turned to me and gave me one of the most serious looks I had ever seen her give.

"What happened?"

I looked down at my hands, "I don't know. One minute I am standing by the Irene statue and the next thing I know, I'm sneezing ice."

She gave me a look which told me she didn't believe me

I put my hands up in defense, "I promise I have no idea what happened."

She scoffed, "Sure you don't. That is one big fat lie!"

I glared at her and shot straight out of my chair, "Fine! You don't believe me! Use one of your stupid truth potions, I will show you I am not lying!"

She glared at me, "Fine!"

My once S/C skin tone was now tinted red from how angry I got.

Why on Earth would she think I am lying. You can't just make this stuff up!

She grabbed a vile that I knew all to well was a truth potion. She pushed it out towards me.

"Well, go ahead. Prove me wrong."

My E/C eyes stared at the vile in her hand, magic swirling around in it. My eyes filled with DETERMINATION. I grabbed the vile and took a drink of it.

"Okay, lets talk."

So, I told her everything. I told her what happened at the statue. I soon finished the story and looked her dead in the eyes. There is no way she won't believe me now. I took the truth potion which means I told her the truth.

She just stood there in shock. She seemed at a loss of words.

What she said next shocked me.

"We have to hide your powers."
