Chapter 14: Aphmau did WHAT?!

Garroth's POV:

We soon arrived back in the village. I took Y/N to her house and remembered that her room was busted up.

"Oh, I forgot that your room is destroyed."

She smiled slightly at me.

"Oh yea. I forgot too, but it has been a crazy 2 days."

I nodded in agreement.

"That it has."

I took a deep breath and said, "You know, you can stay at the guard house if you want to."

She looked at me with those sparkiling E/C eyes.

"You don't have to. I have a guest bedroom. I will be fine, but thank you for the offer."

I blushed and nodded. I started to walk away when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me.

"Thank you Garroth. I don't know if anyone would have stopped Zane's plan."

I blushed slightly and hugged her back.

"It was my duty."

She pulled away and smiled and walked me to the door.

"Goodnight Garroth."

I bowed slightly and kissed her hand.

"Goodnight Y/N."

She blushed slightly and closed the door.

I soon headed back to the guard tower.

Now to figure out what to do with Aphmau.

I walked up to Kaitlyn and nodded towards the cells. She sighed and nodded back. We both made little discussion walking there, neither of us wanting to do what we were about to do.

I opened the door to the cells, but something felt off. I looked around and noticed the cell door to Aphmau's cell was open. I grab my sword and turn only to see it completely empty.

"Kaitlyn, Aphmau escaped, we need to find her."

"But here is a good question, where is Brian? Wasn't he the only guard left here, besides Travis."

"Kaitlyn, your right. We need to find Brian and Aphmau."

We quickly searched the village. We found Brian doing his normal routine, but we couldn't find Aphmau. We walked back to the guard tower. An eerie quiet following us back as we kept to ourselves.

We soon reached the guard tower and noticed the other guards had the same idea.

No One's POV:

Garroth took a deep breath and stood before his fellow guards, all looking at him with hopes that he knew what to do.

Garroth looked at them and said, "So as you all know, Aphmau did something pretty bad and she was able to escape while we were gone going to rescue Y/N. What Aphmau did was inexcusable and because of her actions, her title a lord was taken away from her. So now, our village is without a proper lord. I am technically named lord because I am head guard, but I don't plan on staying as a lord. WE must find someone else to take her place."

Laurance added in, "But who? No offence no one else in this village doesn't have the guts to be a lord. They aren't brave enough."

Dante nodded and chimed in, " That's true. The only person who I would consider brave would be Y/N. I mean she was able to stand up to Zane and on top of that she wasn't stupid during the situation, she helped us."

Travis immediately added in, "I agree. We may not know her as good as we do the other people in the village, but I don't know. I just feel like we can trust her."

Garroth nodded, taking everyone's opinions into consideration.

"I can talk with her tomorrow morning as see how she feels about being a lord. For know, we all need rest. We did a lot and now that Aphmau has escaped, we need to keep a close eyes on the wall."

The others nodded and headed up the ladder and to their separate rooms, except Garroth. He sighed as he sat down in his chair.

One thought kept running through his head.

How am I going to tell Y/N that everyone wants her to be the new lord?
