Karen freshens up&waits up in her room for the visitor anxiously.
She decides to finish up her government project in the mean time.
Hours later**********************.*******
ding dong! The door bell rings.
Karen rushes down anxiously to see her visitor after waiting for so long.
"Karen!", Mr Williams said with a hug.
"Mr Williams!", Karen replied.
" How are you doing dear?", the man asks.
"Well...I'm coping", Karen replies, sniffing.
"You must be wondering why I'm here Karen".
"Yes sir", Karen said.
"Well I come with good news", he said.
Karen asks, " What is it?, with her eyes widened.
"Well...", he hesitated then continues "...I would like if you could move in with me&my family......"
He paused to see her reaction then continued
".....that is if you want".
"The rent will obviously get due&you can't pay for it, also Nanny Mel's salary, your school fees and all that. I know it's coming to you as a shock but I just want you to not get affected by all this. I would like for you to be family also. I don't expect you to answer immediately. I would give you some time to think if that will be fine you with dear", he finishes saying.
"Yes sir, thank you, because time is what I need to think", Karen said.
"I understand ", Mr Williams said.

"Alright I will leave now I have a flight to catch", he said giving Karen a hug.
"OK sir. Safe trip", Karen said as he heads for the door.
Nanny Mel comes out from her room surprised.
"You shouldn't leave so soon Mr Williams, I didn't even prepare something for you to eat", she said.
"Thank you but I have a flight to catch so I can't stay any longer. I would love to, believe me", he said.
"We know", Karen said.
"We shouldn't make him miss his flight now,should we, Karen!", the nanny said.
"Yes Nanny Mel", Karen said.
"Alright sir, safe trip", Nanny Mel said.
"Yes take care of Karen", he said to the nanny.
He turns, facing Karen.
"Now don't get into trouble and get better. Also think about what we discussed", Mr Williams said.
"OK sir I will", Karen said.
With that, there is a shut as the door closes behind him.
Loud silence is heard across the room.
"Well...?", Nanny Mel said breaking the silence.
"Huh?", Karen asked,confused.
"What did you both discuss? He said you should think about it. What is it dear?", the nanny asked.
"Oh he proposed something to me", Karen said.
With that, Karen explained all that was discussed between Mr Williams and her.
"So what's your answer gonna be?", the nanny asked.
"Well I don't know that's why I asked for some time", Karen said.
"OK dear just choose what your heart says dear", the nanny said.
"OK Nanny Mel", Karen said.
"OMG!", Karen said as if remembering something, "I have a project to work on due tomorrow".
"Oh then hurry my dear, go on", Nanny Mel said.
Karen rushes to her room.
She gathers all the information she got.
Suddenly, she feels sadness as she remembers the news she got.
The heartbreak, the fear, the sadness, and guilt, everything combined together, she cries herself to sleep.
She is woken up by a knock on the door.
"Dear, can I come in?", Nanny Mel asked
"Sure", Karen said loud enough for her to hear this time.
"There is a call downstairs for you dear".
"A call?", Karen asked.
"Yes, it's from Bella".
Karen jolts immediately from her bed and heads downstairs. She picks up the phone.
"OMG you remember me", Bella said sarcastically.
"Oh Bella", Karen said.
"I've tried calling. Your phone is either switched off or it goes to voicemail" "I know you're going through a lot right now and you need some compassion. I won't remind you of their death or anything but I would give you my full support in whatever you do babe" Bella said.
"Thanks a lot", Karen said.
"Sure,anything for you. You can skip school tomorrow and I could use a good excuse to leave school to come visit you", Bella said.
They both laugh.
"It would be a good advantage to you because I'm sure you haven't completed your project", Bella said.
Just then, Karen gasped.
"Well I was completing when I fell asleep. I need to go now", Karen said.
"Bye see you tomorrow then?", Bella asked.
"Sure, tomorrow", Karen said.
