I jumped out of bed and stretched. I wonder what was going to await me this week. Hopefully just peace. Maybe not today though, Mondays are boring. I got ready and headed out the door. I decided to go get Mark. As I walked up to his porch, his mom was out there. "Oh I'm sorry Alex but Mark already left." I looked down. "He did?" "Yeah I thought he was with you because he was in a hurry meet up with someone at school." "Oh okay, have a nice day." "You too." Ouch. I had a feeling that today was already starting to go downhill. Positve thinking, postive thinking, positive thinking. I got to school and saw Mark outside talking with Rodrick. "Hey Aleex." Rodrick yelled. I honestly didn't want to talk to him but, I talked anyway. "Hey. Oh and thanks for waiting for me Mark." "Oh sorry, I wanted to hurry and work on homework." "Oh." I walked in and said, "You coming to breakfast with me?" Rodrick stood up and said, "Well Mark I'll catch you later." "Where are you going?" "To see my friend, Zach, real fast." "Oh well see yah later." Mark got up and came with me. Upon entering the cafeteria, I said, "So..........haven't talked to you in a while." "I've been busy lately surprisingly." "You're nothing but a liar, I know you've been hanging with Rodrick this whole time." "So what? I've been using you, you loser." "What!!??" I blinked suddenly. "Yeah, I've been busy lately." "Oh. School?" "Yeah." We got our breakfast and sat down. "So how's the new cellphone?" "It's been cool. Rodrick showed me a few things." "Oh he did?" "Yeah." "Oh..." I think this was the perfect time to talk to him. "Mark, about Rodrick......" "I already know what you're about to say." I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "You....do?" "Yeah, he told me how you guys use to be chill." "We used to but......." "But you were too depressed so you told him to find a better friend." "What the?" "It's okay, Alex. Just don't say that to me okay? I'm not going anywhere." I couldn't believe it. Is this real or am I just dumfounded? Do my ears deceive me? "Well for one Mark, let me tell yo-" "Hey Mark." Rodrick came outta nowhere. I glared at him with death eyes. Again, he came in and destroyed our conversation. I just got up and left. I couldn't do it. "Alex, where are you going?" "Somewhere." "I wonde what's his problem." Rodrick said with a certain tone. I stopped and turned to look at them, shook my head left to right slowly, and left.
