Unaware

chapter two

As much as I tried to sleep that night and forget about all the things that mom told me a while ago however the scene played in my head over and over again and my mind didn't seem to be able to process the whole situation, I mean , If you told me one day that my parents would ask me to get engaged at 16 I would go to a mental facility and checked you in , seriously.

It was seven in the morning when I decided to get out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower, then wore my regular pair of blue jeans with a purple t-shirts, blow dried my hair and tied in a pony tail.

I got downstairs dad was holding some newspaper in his hands and mom was making pancakes. I loved pancakes so much but today I had no appetite to eat and besides , I couldn't stand sitting on the same table as my parents that were about to ruin my life and still acted very normal like nothing bothered them , so I went  straight to the door I heard my dad calling my name but I didn't answer and left.

I pluged my earphone into my ipod , turned on the music and started driving to school.

I got to school as I walked to my locker I  felt someone tickling my weist , I didn't have to turn around because I was sure it was my friend Cora , she was doing that all the time. she took out my ear phone and shouted  "Good morning sunshine" I hugged her tightly and didn't say anything.

She looked at me and said

"Are you still thinking about your brother?" I nodded and she continued

"Come on he will be out soon I promise ok? I know you are so close to each but it does not mean that you have to be disappointed like that".

I left Cora and went to my locker to look at my schedule and my first lesson happened to be chemistry . Really? why do I have to listen to that freak the first thing in the morning and besides I have to be concerned about my life right now not how Ions form or how elements share their electrons , they just do , it's non of my business.

By lunch time I was really hungry , so I rushed to the cafeteria and placed a burger and some ceasar salad in my tray.                              

"we are here Ash" came a voice out of nowhere, when I turned to the right I saw Lia and Cora waving at me so I headed to their table ,said hi and started to eat right away before they could say anything.

Lunch time was my favourite time of school because I could be with my best friends, it was so fun to be with them, we talked about whatever happened that day at school in a very detailed way and we laughed so hard together even at the dumpiest jokes, but today was different because I had to make sure nothing slipped out of my mouth about the engagement so it was better for me to stay silent and shut my mouth.

 By the time school ended I drove back home to get changed and to go meet Jesse.  I wore a light pink dress with a denim jacket and a pair of golden high heels. Then curled my hair and put some mascara and lipstick and I was ready .

It was 5:50 when I got there. I got in and waited for a while , I was getting more nervous by passing each second. I was so worried about what a kind of person he would be. Would he be goodlooking? Cute? funny? A freak? A looser ?.

I was drown in my thoughs but got back to reallity when I heard someone calling my name. I looked a up and saw a guy smiling at me saying "you are ashley , right??"
