chapter three

I looked up and saw a guy smiling at me saying "you are Ashley right? "

He had a square shaped face,light brown glossy hair, the eyes that stared back at me were as brown as chocolate and he was wearing a white V-neck t_shirt and his hands deep in the pockets of his blue jeans.

"Yeah and you are Jesse, right?" I responded in a very nervous tone.

"Yes and I am so sorry for being that late , but I was stuck in traffic "he had an apologetic look as he took the seat across the table.

" No its ok I just got here, too " I said in a very shaky voice , then felt shocked all over my body as I looked at my watch to see the time was 6:40 !!! wait .. what?! has my watch stopped or something? because I can't be sitting here for nearly an hour and not even realising it , I mean really??!!.

"Ashley... "

"yes!"

"um the waitress has been waiting so long asking what would you like to order.." Jesse said pointing to the waitress right next to me.

"Ow sorry, I would like some green tea, please" looking at the waitress that seemed really pissed off but faked a smile and walked away.

what's happening to me? why am I that off minded? wait a second .. what am I gonna discuss with him? why am I even here? that and alot of other questions were stuck on my mind that I couldn't find a single answer for any of them.

The only question that I had the answer for was' why was I that nervous?'.. well because I have never talked to any guy besides my brother ,not even my cousins ..uhh that reminds me that I don't have any.

"Ashley.."

I was about to say yes as I looked at Jesse staring at me like he was waiting for an answer, and I felt really embarrassed for not knowing what to say , and my cheeks start to burn up.

"I um I was asking your opinion about uh about this marriage thing"he said looking at me with an expression of curiosity.

Now that's awkward , how on earth am I supposed to answer that question?!

Should I say that your parents are evil to force a little 16 year girl to marry their son and I am really disappointed as the way they treat me like I am a doll or a piece of crap and they had no right to mess up with my future and as you are their son I don't expect you to be any better than them ...

However I shrugged off and said in a very simple way  " As long as it can save my brother's life, I am fine with it".

"Ok" he murmured not making eye contact.

"look Jesse.." I stopped mid-sentence as the waitress came by to bring what we ordered ,she put them on the table and walked away.

"I think you were about to say something"

" Yes , all I wanted to say was whether I like it or NOT I will accept this marriage , because I just have one brother and I love him from the moon and back and I can't risk his life , no way ..I can't be that selfish. I am sure he would do anything if I was in his position to save me."

"yeah I get it and I am sorry for what my parents did and I feel really ashamed , they shouldn't have done that . that wasn't a smart decision to make." he said the last part as a whisper.

" Jesse, you don't have to be ashamed because none of this is your fault, ok?."

"No its actually all my fault" he said with an angry voice as he stared at me . I don't know why but I could feel lots of guilt in his eyes.

"what do you mean by that?"

He run his hand through his hair nervously as he tried to calm himself down "I ahh I meant I had to do something to prevent that marriage .... uhh that's all I meant really".

I felt like he wasn't completely honest but I decided not to say anything because I wasn't so sure about it. So I just changed the subjest "By the way, how is your brother? "

"He is fine, don't worry about him" he said with a shrug. "you already have alot on your plate ".

"Ok but I have to go now because I have history test tomorrow , and you can't imagine how bad I am at it"

"trust me, you aren't the only one" he said with a wink.

I felt as I was blushing so I turned my face down so he wouldn't see it.

" It was nice to see you Ashley " he said

as he grinned showing his perfect white teeth. 

"yeah you too" I responded as I flew out of the coffe shop , getting into to my car with lots of thoughts fighting in my head whether the meeting was good or not .... well I think it was allright because you won't believe what I imagined during my boring classes today , for example I pictured myself tripping in front of him with my long fancy dress and he would laugh his head off.... or I wouldn't be able to speak so we would have to try sign language... ohhh anyway I was up for the worst ok??

but thank God I didn't do anything that embarrassing.

I am so sorry guys for that late update but I was really busy .... anyway I hope you enjoy reading this chapter and please don't forget to vote and comment....
