5. Interview

Ashley insisted we go to a mall because they had the biggest diversity of stores all in one place.
We walked through the mall doors and I instantly saw the best store in the world.

HOT TOPIC!!

I started to run and CC smiled and followed, and it turned into a race to the store leaving Ashley behind shaking his head and chuckling.

I ran as fast as I could and just barely managed to beat CC.
"Woohooo!! I win!! You lose!!" I laughed.

"Ashley! Hurry up!" CC yelled at Ashley.
He started jogging and caught up.

"Oh yeah, I have to hurry up. 'Cause the mall only closes in five hours!" He said in a funny tone making me laugh.

"To Hot Topic!" I yelled pointing my right pointer finger in the air, my left hand on my hip and jumping into the store, impersonating a superhero.

When we went to the cashier I had two My Chemical Romance shirts, three Batman shirts along with a Batman sweatshirt, some KISS, Linkin Park and Led Zepplin posters and a pair of combat boots. Along with that Ashley promised me some Black Veil Brides merchendise.

After two hours of browsing around the mall, CC had bought me a phone and Ashley bought lunch for us in the cafeteria.
Ashley looked at his phone and got up.

"We need to go now or we'll be late for the interview."

CC and I got up and I jumped on his back. He laughed and ran carrying me all the way to the car.

As he put me down so he could get in the car he made the comment
"Holy crap, your light."

Ashley drove a little over the speed limit all the way to the interview, so I'm guessing we were later than he was letting on.

A few minutes later we pulled up to a building where I'm assuming the interview was taking place. Andy was standing by the entrance to the building looking rather stressed.
"Sorry we're late. We lost track of time." Ashley said getting out of the car.

"It's fine, your not too late. Just hurry up."

I was sitting just outside the interview room on the floor trying to figure out how my phone worked, because it was my first phone.

"I know this is kind of off topic with the fact this is supposed to be about you guys going to Warped Tour this year, but there were pictures of you guys at an orphanage yesterday just outside of Los Angeles. What exactly, may I ask, were you doing there?" the interviewer asked.

"Well....Ummm....We adopted a sixteen year old girl named Rayne." Andy replied instantly catching my attention.

"Was that young woman that was with Ashley and CC?" The interviewer asked.

"Actually it was." Ashley answered.

"Do you think we could....?" the interviewer started.
"Oh, yeah...." CC started.

"But only if she wants to." Andy added, cutting him off.

"Rayne..?" Ashley asked looking in my direction.
I stood up, fixed my shirt and hair and walked into the room.

"So your Rayne? It's nice to meet you." the man asked holding out his hand. I shook his hand and smiled.

"Firm handshake. Tough hands. Do you play anything?"

"Ummm.... Yeah, actually I play bass." I replied shyly.

"How long have you played bass?"
I smiled a small smile and told him that 'I have been playing bass for four years.'
