Its weird making breakfast in my new kitchen. The house is a lot bigger than we thought it was. The yard is huge with its own playground and pond. The living room is giant and the kitchen is perfect. The house has about 6 bedrooms. I was watching Addison is outside playing on the playground while Greyson was in his bouncer here in the kitchen.
“Zach can you come here really quick!” I yelled suddenly feeling nauseous. Zach ran into the kitchen and I pointed to the stove which had eggs and bacon cooking on it before I ran out and to the bathroom on the second floor where I emptied my stomach into the toilet.
“Hey are you okay?” Zach asked when I walked back into the kitchen. I nodded my head before going to the back door to yell at Addison.
“Yeah I think I just got the flu. I’ll get checked out when I take the kids to the doctor later. What time do you have to be at work?” After moving in Zach decided that he would find a job even though we still have way more than enough money after buying the house. He ended up finding a job at the local mechanics shop. Unfortunately town is about 10 miles from our house which I don’t like with the ice covered roads.
“I have to be there in about half an hour. Why do the kids have to go to the doctor today?” Zach was dishing out all the food while fed Grey. He put a plate down infront of me before sitting next to Addison.
“Addison needs to get her shots today before she starts school and Greyson needs to get a check-up.” I looked at my two adopted children. I still wonder how I was so lucky to get these two wonderful children. Yes I know I say it a lot but I feel lucky even if I am so young.
“Oh yeah I forgot Addison was starting school on Monday.” Zach pushed away from the table grabbing everyone’s plate and putting them in the dishwasher.
“Addison can you please g get dressed. I know I forget how old she is getting. I think I am going to cry. To us Monday will be her first day of school to us at least.” I already had tears in my eyes. Since when did I get this emotional?
“I know honey. But just think of it like this. At least Grey isn’t old enough for school.” I looked back at my little baby knowing Zach was right. Even if Addison did start school I still have Greyson who is way too young for school.
“Sage I have to go. Call me after the Doctors appointments I want to know what they have to say bout the kids, and you.” He walked over an kissed my cheek before walking out the front door to his first day of work.
“Mommy how do I look?” Addison’s cute little voice sounded from behind me. I turned to look and had to suppress a laugh. Addison stood there in a pair of pink pants with a brown shirt and two different shoes on.
“Addison you look fine but how about mommy picks out your outfit when I pick out Greyson’s.” She thought for a second before nodding her head yes.4
I picked up Grey and walked towards the stairs. About half way up I had the feeling that I had to throw up again. I ran to Addison’s room and put Grey into his bouncer we put in there and ran to the bathroom. After I again emptied my stomach I brushed my teeth and walked back to Addison’s room.
“Mommy are you okay?” Addison asked. She was sitting on the floor next to Greyson’s bouncer making funny faces at him.
“Yeah I just have the flu. Now lets find you something to wear.” I threw open her closet doors and started to rummage around. I finally found a cute red winter dress and some cute little blak boots to go with it. I then found some leggings to go with it before exiting the closet.
“Addy how about you wear this. Im going to go get Greyson dressed then we have to leave.” I was just about to leave when Addison started to laugh.
“What’s so funny?” I asked her.
“Mommy you need to get dressed to.” I looked down to see I was still in my pajamas.
“Oh I guess I forgot.” I turned around and walked to Greys room. I decided to put him in a red flannel shirt with some jeans and cute little cowboy boots. As for me I threw on a pair of leggings with a long purple shirt and some black boots. I combed my black hair before putting my make up on and walking downstairs with Greyson in my arms.
“Mommy im ready.” Addison was already in her coat with her hat and gloves on.
“Just give me one more minute.” I put Greyson in his snow suit before putting him in his car seat. I put my coat on and we walked out the door to my new black SUV. Zach thought I should have my own car and one with 4 wheel drive. After the kids were buckled in we took off down the ice covered roads towards town.
20 minutes later after traveling in a little blizzard we had made it to the doctor’s office. We were called back right away.
“How the kids doing?” I asked the doctor after she had checked out both the kids and given Addy her shots.
“They are both healthy as horses.” She answered with a smile on her pretty face.
“I have a question for you.”
“Okay just ask.”
“could you do some blood work on me. I think I’m sick.”
“yeah if you wanna go to the lab they will take your blood then just come back here and your results should be in in about 10 minutes..”
After I did the blood work we were waiting for the doctor. When she finally walked in she had an even bigger smile then she did either.
“Sage we have your results.”
“Great so whats wrong with me?”
“Your pregnant.”
