louis

Where the hell am I?

My eyes fluttered open, immediately having to close them again so I could attempt to adjust to the bright light surrounding me.

So much white.

After a few seconds, I tried again. I let the smallest amount of light to come into my vision, and once I didn't feel like I was being tortured by my surroundings, I managed to open them almost properly.

"Lou?"

Harry came into sight and I stopped worrying, if he was here, then I didn't have to worry about anything and, wait, what's going on?

He must have noticed my confusion, as a sighed, somehow scooting the chair that he was sat in even closer then it already was.

There was a small spot on the hospital bed? and his hair was slightly messy, so I assumed he had been using the bed as a pillow.

"Do you remember anything?" He began.

I shook my head no and was about to reply, but then my head began to hurt and I used one hand to feel the throbbing spot, only to flinch away at the touch.

Ouch.

Then all the memories came flooding back.

School, jocks, and well, helpless me.

"I remember Zayn helping me out, what happened after that?"

"I saw you fall and he caught you just in time, you blacked out and yeah, I bought you here.." he told me, sighing as he fiddled with the hem of his shirt, meeting my eyes occasionally.

"Thank you." I placed my hand over his and his eyes finally held mine, "are you okay?" I asked, "you seem off."

He shook his head, a weak smile on his face but a small chuckle fell from his lips, "you're the one in a hospital bed, I should be asking if you're okay."

I patted my body dramatically and he watched with a raised brow, "I'm good, see?" I flashed a smile.

"You're an idiot, you know that?" He laughed.

"I know, so what's up Harold?"

"You looked really bad Lou-"

I held a hand to my heart, "oh, gee thanks Haz."

"No I mean like, I was worried. Seeing you like that scared me, and I shouldn't have been because as soon as we got here they literally just patched up your cut, drugged you up and said you just needed to rest a while."

"Oh, well you don't need to worry, but thank you.. How long was I out?"

A small smile traced his lips, "like, fourty minutes, but I did stay those whole forty minutes so-" he trailed off, his signature dimples showing.

I laughed, "wow Hazz, I'm flattered."

A couple weeks had passed after that rather - what I call - dramatic incident and things were almost normal.

I was still getting side comments from people, not that I hadn't expected to get them, but after a certain group of students had somehow found out that I was sent to hospital after their idiotic actions, they had decided to just verbally bully me.

Although I guess that's not much better, as that type of bulling is what led to the physical type, but it was more subtle now, mainly just glares and just above audible comments, which I managed to ignore.
