"Mum's worried about you, Lou."

I caught the water bottle I had been throwing around for a while, placing it next to me as I let out a sigh.

Lottie and I had been spending a lot more time since the first time she came in to talk to me, which was a week ago. I could even say we'd somehow grown closer just in the past few days.

I'd also made the effort to go spend some time with the lads, surprisingly enjoying small parts when I was too caught up in the funny moments. It was currently quite early into the day and I was happy that there were no plans ahead. Mum had the day off work and I began considering going out for lunch with her and Lottie.

I felt bad that we had barely done anything, just the two of us and I knew that I shouldn't let what ever happened with harry affect the relationship between my mother and I.

"Let's take her out and get some lunch or something, yeah?"

A small smile broke out on her face but she shook her head, "you two can go, I was actually planning on going out with a friend today."

I got up from my bed and stretched. I'd spent way to much time in that thing. "Alright, well I'm gonna go shower." I informed her. She nodded, not looking up from her phone.

I went to my closet and grabbed a white graphic print shirt and black jeans.

It didn't take long to wash away that morning feeling, and once I had literally lathered myself in vanilla body wash and rinsed off, I decided to hop out and get ready for the day.

To say mum was surprised upon seeing me dressed and refreshed was an understatement. Her eyes had widened from where she sat at the kitchen island, sipping on tea, but she replaced the look with a normal one shortly after.

"Hey hun, how are you feeling?" She spoke softly, ignoring the magazine that she was looking through when I came down.

I kissed her cheek before beginning to make my own cup of tea, "I'm okay mum." I assured her.

She sighed, obviously knowing from my behaviour these last few weeks that I wasn't okay. She didn't ask though, thankfully, but now I felt bad that I was keeping things from her.

I used to tell her literally everything.

"We can go get some lunch- or early lunch soon. I've missed talking to you.."

She nodded with a smile, "I'd like that."

We sat down next to the glass windows inside the cafe we normally go to. It was a Sunday and there were a few people spread out over the place, but apart from that it was rather empty.

"I feel like you haven't talked to me in so long.."

"I'm sorry, I haven't been thinking straight, as you can probably tell, but I'm trying to be okay now."

She nodded, but her eyebrows were drawn together and I raised a brow in confusion. "Everything alright, mum?"

"You've forgotten, haven't you?"

What the hell was she talking about?

She took my silence as a no, and she sighed. "Anne, Harry and Gemma are spending Christmas with us, remember?"

And well- okay. I did forget about that and my heart sped up. How the fuck did I forget about that? It was the 19th of December and they had planned to come six days before- fuck. Today?
