Morality had recently gone down the rabbit hole of fan fictions about the sides, and lately he had read a lot about Prince and Anxiety. There seemed to be a reoccurring theme, where he and Logan locked Roman and Virgil in a closet and waited for them to confess their feelings for each other. The glances, and red cheeks had not gone unnoticed by Morality, and he had decided that today was the day he recreated one of these stories. The plan was to say a problem had gone wrong including their beloved outfits. The black jacket for Anxiety, and the red sash for Princey. It was time to put his plan into action.

Everything had gone smoothly, and both of the sides were trapped in the closet. Morality had set up a microphone in there previously, so he wouldn't have to sit outside the door, in fear they would know he was there.

On the inside of the small closet sat Prince, next to a furiously screaming Anxiety. What Prince didn't know is that Anxiety was letting his anger take over because if he didn't, his claustrophobia and fear of the dark would start to get to him.

"Anxiety, would you quit it already? He's obviously not letting us out any time soon. It's pointless to yell. You're just wasting your voice." Prince sighed, tired of hearing the other yell while in a small space. "Whats it matter to you? You still have your voice to obnoxiously sing, I'm not affecting you." Anxiety snarled at the royal. Roman just rolled his eyes and responded "I can't sing if I'm deaf, which is what I'm going to be if you keep yelling in here."

The darkness, and small space was starting to get to Virgil. He was even more frustrated than before, and could feel tears prick his eyes. "You know what Princey? If we were anywhere else I would kill you. The only reason I won't do it now is because I don't want to smell your rotting corpse." Anxiety was about to snap. He was close to yelling, as it is his last sentence was spoken in a loud voice.

"Look, if we want to get out of here we need to work together. You can go back to planning my murder later." Anxiety calmed at this sentence, he realized he was being over the top. But now that he wasn't irrationally irritated, his fears had gotten to him and he didn't respond to Roman.

"Anxiety? Are you even listening to me?" Prince seemed irritated at this until he hear the quiet sniffle come from Virgil's direction. "Virgil?" He asked in a softer voice now. Instead of answering to Roman, Anxiety slumped down in the opposite corner of the closet, pulling his legs to his chest and burying his head in his knees. The room seemed impossibly small at that moment.

Roman moved closer to Virgil, and he didn't do anything in response. Roman put an arm around Anxiety, pulling him closer. "What's wrong? Did I do something to upset you?" Virgil shook his head. "I'm scared." was mumbled from Virgil. "Of what?" Prince asked, genuinely curious. "Small spaces and the dark." Anxiety trailed off, obviously there was also something else on his mind. "What else are you afraid of?"

Virgil stilled, almost inaudibly replying with "You." Roman almost didn't hear him. "Why?" Roman was puzzled. He tried his best to never threaten the younger trait. "Honestly, I'm scared you don't feel the same way I feel about you."

Roman slowly started understanding what the darker trait had said. "And how do you feel about me? You might be wrong." "I doubt I'm wrong, but I really like you. I kinda want to be something more than friends." Virgil felt his cheeks grow hot. His fears were making him speak irrationally.

"I can confirm you're wrong." Roman whispered in Anxiety's ear. Anxiety whipped his head up, and searched for Roman's eyes in the dark room. "Really?" Anxiety asked hopefully. "Of course. I thought I was obvious. Though I suppose I should have known you wouldn't take it that way considering you're Anxiety." Roman chuckled, pulling Virgil close until they heard a squeal from the hallway outside of the closet they were trapped in.

The door opened, flooding the small, dark closet with light, and the sound of excited babbling from Patton who was standing in the doorway. "I knew this would work! I have to tell Logan!" Before the other two could respond, Patton was racing down the hallway, and had disappeared into Logan's room. Virgil and Roman just shrugged.

Roman stood, holding out his hand, offering to help Virgil stand up. Virgil accepted the hand, but when he was standing didn't let go of Roman's hand. Roman walked to his room, hold the door open for Virgil to enter.

The rest of the day was spent with Virgil and Roman cuddling in bed, and listening to Patton squeal during meal times. Obviously he had planned this. But neither of them minded. It had gotten them together in the end, so both were thankful for Patton's intervention.
