Roman's POV

Me and Anxiety were laying in my bed, cuddled up underneath some blankets, talking to each other about nothing and everything. As Virgil was talking though, he had yawned twice through his sentence.

"Anx baby, why don't we get changed into pajamas and we can both go to sleep, you look pretty tired." I said, concerned that any minute he would pass out mid sentence.

"I don' wanna *yawn* get up" Virgil tiredly slurred his words together like he was drunk. He didn't even have enough energy to try and argue that he wasn't tired.

"Then at least take off your jacket, you can set it on the floor next to the bed." I suggested, so he could be slightly more comfortable. He complied and sat up slightly to unzip and remove the dark article of clothing. I did that same but with my knights costume, and proceeded to set it on top of Anx's jacket on the floor.

Once we were done getting comfortable we laid back down and got closer to each other, sharing our warmth. His legs tangled around mine, and he placed his hands on my chest, pushing his face into my shoulder, while I wrapped my arms around his waist and held him tighter. We both drifted into a peaceful undisturbed sleep.

~Next day~

Me and Virgil were in the common area on one couch, my arm was around his shoulders and his head was on my chest. Logan sat on the other couch, as we all watched a documentary. Well, they watched the documentary, I was too focused on Anx to notice when a nervous Patton walked in.

"Hey, guys" Patton said, alerting everyone in the room that he was present in a shaky voice. I immediately became concerned. Where was his bright smile? Him calling us kiddos? What was wrong?

I turned to look at the man we called our dad and saw him holding his hands behind his back, clearly hiding something from our sight. He wouldn't make eye contact with me, but he would shakily look at the others.

I became more concerned. Had I done something? Had he done something? What was he hiding from me behind his back?

"Hey, Patton. What's wrong?" I broke the uncomfortable silence. No one had wanted to respond to Patton's greeting, being too nervous to hear some sort of bad news.

"Well, as you know I do laundry." He said quietly still not meeting my eyes.

"Yes, we know Patton. What seems to be concerning you at this moment however." Logan said, growing impatient to hear the explanation for Patton's worry.

Patton didn't say anything, instead bringing one of his hands from behind his back to show several articles of clothing that appeared to be a dark gray color. One hand was still behind his back. It took me a moment, but I soon realized it was all of my previously white shirts!

Next to me Virgil was laughing, excited to see my torment from wearing dark colors, and from the other couch Logan had taken note of the situation, but had gone back to watching the documentary as he was previously doing.

"Patton, what happened?" Patton flinched at my loud voice, I was angry, those were my knights outfits and sleeping clothes! At least I had extra knights shirts in my closet. But I was still concerned as to how this happened.

"Well, this morning I went into your room to collect your dirty clothes to do laundry. However, I failed to notice that one of Anxiety's jacket got into the pile as well. And this happened." Patton looked down in shame. Anxiety was still laughing, teasing that I'd have to wear darker clothing.

The initial shock had worn off, and I regretted raising my voice at our dad like trait, but apologies would have to be saved for later.

The next person to speak up was Anxiety. "Well, if that's all, why do you still have one hand behind your back?" Virgil asked, seeming suspicious at the simple act, after having noticed it coming from his laughing spell.
