This is no tale or imagination. Its how are patriarchial Indian society functions.

If a girl is rape victim then she should never come out of that bad experience. If she ever tries to leave it behind and built a new life; than she asked for rape, as she is characterless, how can a woman live without her virtue.

If she is able to escape being a victim, then also people question her, 'maybe this is her fault  that's why only she was targeted'.

No matter what, men of this land, are always right. They can't do anything wrong. If they eve tease then they're being funny. But if a girl have a boyfriend then she is sexually adventurous, even though her relation is based on trust and affection and not sexuality.

Its the story of a girl who was not able to cope with hipocracy of our society and found herself victim of circumstances.

In real she had nobody to stand for her but just her determination to fight and survive with dignity.

Its a mirror for us, to see how men in our society try to steal even the most basic right, that is 'to exist with dignity and integrity' from a women  but if same women try to oppos them for their crimes then they are ready to turn on to finish her.

Most of the incidents in story are real and experienced by the ladies of my aquaintance. Some of you will question Su's action and may not approve the method she adopted but she was able to atleast win a battle where she can decide things in her life.

I am not neither supporting Su nor condemning her. Its for you to read and understand her plight and whether she was wrong or right. She just wanted to live as per principle and her philosphy of life. She wanted to decide when, what and where of her life. And for this she was ready to fight and even if, she has to fight dirty.
