"Do you have everything? Cellphone? Passport? Plane tickets? Your pain medication?" My mom walks through the airport with me as she rattles off everything I need on her fingers.
"Yes I have everything" I tell her for the last time.
She stops me and looks at me with a smile plastered across her face.
"I'll miss you" she pulls me into a hug. I quickly tighten my grip around her waist and rest my head on her shoulder.
"I'll miss you more"
"Okay , okay no tears! This is a great thing. Jackson is a senior and your graduated! Claire is going to university and Shawn's on tour. This is suppose to be a happy time" my mom laughs wiping the tears from her eyes.
"Goodbye mom" I kiss her on the cheek and leave to go on the plane that is now boarding to New York.
I'm going to see Shawn. He left to resume his tour after 2 long months of convincing him I was okay and he didn't need to stay for me.
I was in the hospital for a total of 3 weeks. Everything healed perfectly but they gave me pain medication just incase my head started to hurt. They say that's normal with head injuries, for painful headaches to come in spurts.
Claire is going to School for nursing. She's going to Yale. After chase died she tried to be as strong as she could possibly be, she blocked out the accident like it never took place . Me and Shawn never talked about it around her.
Every now and again Shawn would go to chase's grave and sing his new songs that he's been working on. Chase would have loved them, they are amazing.
Claire has yet to go to chase's grave. She could never bring herself to do it. She lost her soulmate in that accident . We all lost an amazing friend but Claire lost her soulmate.
That is a wound that time will never heal.
"Look at your snapchat" I get text from Shawn once the short plane ride comes to an end.

He's in the airport. My heart flutters and my smile suddenly grows. I look around for him but I don't seem to see him anywhere which disappoints me.
"Turn around" another text reads.
I spin my body around so fast it could give someone whiplash.
"Hi baby" I see him with his hands in his pockets and a big toothy smile on his face , he bounces back and forth in his heels.
I run up to him and jump into his arms, his scent washes over me and it makes me feel like I'm home.
I am home when I am with him.
"I missed you so much" I kiss his lips and hold his hands into mine as we face each other.
"Yeah, I've missed you too" he pulls me in for another hug.
This year is going to be the best year yet. This year I go on tour with Shawn, we travel the world together. I grow with him as a person.
