"Welcome to Sky High," Ron says, opening the bus's doors for us and we all pour out, still in awe.

Students with powers of every kind wander the campus, flight, freezing, creating clones.

Almost as soon as we step off the bus, a blur suddenly whips past, circling us. We all step closer together.

The blur comes to a halt, revealing a boy, and another boy joins him in front of us, stretching down the stairs. Super-speed and elasticity.

"Attention freshmen!" says the stretchy guy. "I'm Lash, this is Speed, and we're a part of the Sky High Welcoming Committee."

"We'll be happy to accept that fifteen dollar new student fee," says Speed, and Lash stretches out his arm and holds his hand out under the nose of Ethan, the boy in orange.

"Uh, there was nothing about a new student fee in the handbook," says Ethan.

There's a chuckle. "Okay, very funny guys. I'll take it from here." We turn to see a girl walking towards us. She's tall, brunette, and dressed in pink. "Hi everyone, I'm Gwen Grayson. Welcome to Sky High! I know you're going to love it here, I certainly have." She proceeds to tell us a little bit about the school, giving us a little introduction.

"And now I'm going to pass you on to Julia who will give you a bit of a tour on your way to the gym," Gwen said.

"Hi guys!" A blonde girl with big, blue butterfly wings on her back fluttered down and landed gracefully next to Gwen. "I'm Julia! Follow me! Thanks Gwen!"

We followed her inside. "I know, it seems a little like a maze in here, but you'll get it, don't worry!" Julia tells us as she leads us through the school.

My friends and I are at the end of the group. We're walking down one of the many locker-lined halls, following Julia while she explains everything to us, when someone bumps me as they pass by, rather hard I might add.

"Hey, watch it Dude," Zach says in my defence to the guy who bumped me. Zach can be a bit of an overprotective best friend sometimes. I appreciate it, but sometimes it can be a little much. I would have to remind him that although I'm shy and quiet, I can still stand up for myself.

The guy who bumped into me only glares down at us, causing us to grow silent and freeze. He's tall with long, dark hair falling down to his shoulders, a streak of red in the front, and wears a leather jacket and leather fingerless gloves. He looks very intimidating.

"Sorry," I squeak. He only scowls and continues on. We watch as everyone he passes in the crowded hallway steps back and out of his way, as though they are avoiding him.

"Why did you say sorry, he obviously bumped you?" says Layla as we recover and continue on.

"Well it looked like he wasn't going to say it so I thought I'd better," I reply.

Zach gives me a playful shove. "You're too nice." He's always teasing me about being just that, 'too nice'.

"That guy must mean trouble," says Ethan.

"He looked kind of familiar," says Zach, but he shrugs and we hurry to catch up with the rest of the group. Julia leads us to the gym for the next part of orientation, something called 'Power Placement'.

"Here you are!" she announces. "Good luck! I'll see you guys around - hopefully I'll see some of you in hero! Oh and don't forget your name tags-" She hands them to us on our way into the gym. Time for Power Placement - whatever that means.

( Hi guys! Thanks so much for reading, hope you're enjoying so far! :) So I guess I've added another character, Julia, another one of Gwen's followers. Anyways, that's all for now, thanks again!)
