Fiona smiled in the moonlight as Hugh led her, blindfolded, through a leaf strewn path.
Hugh had said he had a surprise for her, and he had also said it was a good one. Fiona had giggled softly as Hugh blindfolded her.
She stumbled a little bit, and Hugh stopped to make sure she was okay. Once she had (silently) assured him that she was, he continued leading her until they came to a large clearing surrounded by trees.
"Okay." Hugh started. "I promise you'll like it." He lightly tugged the blindfold off of Fiona's face.
She looked around. She loved the forest and all plant and animal life, but she didn't understand. Why had Hugh been so eager to show her this?
She looked at him, confused.
"This is the darkest place in Florida." He smiled. "Perfect for stargazing." He said, gesturing at the starry sky.
Fiona smiled at him and took his hand. She gave him a light peck on the cheek before sitting down on the grass, pulling Hugh down with her. They happily stared up at the sky for some time before Fiona fell asleep on Hugh's shoulder.
Hugh was too busy staring at Fiona to notice dark gray clouds slowly roll in above them. Before long it was pouring on the two of them.
Fiona woke up to sheets of rain cascading down on and around them.
Hugh was going on about how they're already soaked! Miss P. will be so upset! Fiona just smiled at him, soaked to the core. Hugh stopped and stared at her. He noticed she was quickly and quietly growing a canopy over them. The rain suddenly cancelled out. Hugh sat down again next to Fiona. She leaned against his shoulder again and he rested his head on top of hers. They sat like that for a long while, the rain falling all around them, until they both fell asleep. This one is not very good in my opinion, But oh well.
