Beep! Beep! Beep!

My alarm chimed, which means school. Usually, I wouldn't mind. I'd get ready, walk with Archie to school, meet up with Veronica and Jughead, then I'd just live out my school day as normal. And after, all four of us would head to Pop's for some food and milkshakes.

Today was different. Today, I was hesitant to get out of bed. Eventually, I lifted myself up and out of bed.

I had showered, gotten dressed in a pastel pink sweater and blue jeans, brushed my hair and teeth, and was about to apply makeup when I heard a knock on my window.

Turning around, I saw it was Jughead, so I walked up to the window and lifted it.

"Good morning, beautiful," Jughead greeted. "Hey, Juggie," I said, stepping back as he climbed through the window.

I walked over to my dresser, grabbed a ponytail holder and pulled my golden hair into its usual ponytail. "Why'd you come to see me, Jug?" I asked as my eyes darted to looking at his reflection in the mirror.

"Can't a boyfriend walk his girlfriend to school? Or is that too cliché for the one and only Betty Cooper?" Jughead asked, smiling.

God, I love the way he says my name. He can make it sound so sweet and innocent, even when it's not. "Of course you can! I just gotta tell Archie not to wait for me."

So that's what I did. I got my phone in its blue case and texted him as I sat down on my bed.

Me: Hey, Arch. I'm gonna walk with Jughead today.

Archie: That's ok, have fun :)

Me: Thanks, Archie.

"Betty, are you almost ready?" My mom called from downstairs. "Yeah! I'll be down in a minute!" I called back.

I got up from my bed and sat down in front of my mirror, about to grab my mascara when Juggie stopped me.

"You don't need it, you're beautiful," He said. "Whatever you say," I replied, chuckling. I stood up, and he gently grabbed both my hands.

"No, Betty. I mean it. You are really, truly beautiful," Jughead said before kissing me slowly and softly on my lips. I forgot my widow was open, so I heard Archie call out,"Oh, get a room you two!"

We both pulled away and turned to my widow to see a laughing redhead, with his arms hanging freely out of his window.

"C'mon, let's head to school," I said. Jughead laced his fingers between mine and we headed out my bedroom door and raced down the stairs.
