"Wait, wait, wait. He did what?" I asked while laughing and smiling. "He accidentally sent me a text that was meant for Veronica, and may I say, Archie has quite the detailed fantasies," Jughead replied, also laughing.

"Oh my, God! Jughead Jones, I did not need to know that much!" I said. I started laughing even harder. So hard that it hurt. "Well, you were the one chasing after him all summer," Jughead pointed out, chuckling.

"Yeah, well I've learned from my mistakes. I love Archie, but only as my best friend. You, Jughead," I began to say. I reached my hand out across the table and grabbed his hand.

"You are the only one for me." "Betts, you are the only one who really gets me, you know that?" Jughead replied. I gave a warm smile a ran my thumb back and forth on his hand. "I know," I said softly.

I felt my phone ring in my pocket and when I went to check it, I found a text from Polly, which was weird because she's not supposed to have her phone at the Sisters.

Polly: Hey, Betty! I'm finally out of the Sisters, but I'm not coming home.

Me: Wait, what? Why?

Polly: I wanna get out of this small town. I'm gonna stay at a farm up North.

Me: You're leaving Riverdale for a farm?

Polly: It's just what's best for me.

Me: Well, can I at least see you in person before you leave forever?

Polly: It's not forever; I'll be back for holidays and birthdays.

Polly: And I don't know since I'm leaving today.

Me: Okay, well, bye then. I love you, Pol.

Polly: Bye, Betty. We'll talk again soon.

I put my phone back in my pocket and looked up. "That was Polly, she's out of the Sisters," I explained, still a bit confused from our conversation. "Well, that's great," Jughead replied, happy for me. "But there's more. She's not coming home." "Where's she living then?" he asked.

"She said she's gonna stay at a farm up North," I replied, rubbing my eyes. "I'm sorry, Betts. I know how important your sister is to you," he sighed.

Pop came to our table with our food: three cheeseburgers, and fries, along with my strawberry milkshake with a single cherry on top and Jughead's chocolate milkshake.

We exchanged 'thank you's' and 'your welcome's' and Pop left our table. I stared at the top of my milkshake, looking at the cherry. There was only one, which was unusual to me. Usually, I get two so that I can share with Juggie.

"Huh," I said, noticing this. "What?" Jughead asked before taking a bite of his burger. "I guess I forgot to ask for another cherry for you, sorry," I answered, leaning forward to grab my burger.

"It's fine, Betts. I have one," he replied, as I looked over at his milkshake, which had no cherry. "What do you mean? There's nothing there, Jug," I replied, confused.

"Oh, I meant this one," He chuckled, taking my cherry from the top of my milkshake's mountain of whipped cream and biting it off its stem.

"Hey! You stole my cherry!" I said, shocked and humored at the same time. "Well, I mean, not yet," Jughead smirked as I blushed. I swear, sometimes this boy is just too much.
