TW: sexual assault
At lunch, Jughead, Veronica, Cheryl, and I all sat down at a table, as Archie went home early because he was getting headaches. "So, how was your day, Juggie?" I asked casually. Veronica looked anxious, and Cheryl kept looking down, like she was guilty. My eyes widened at what this could mean. I quickly got both girls attention and mouthed, "Did you tell him?!". Cheryl shook her head and Veronica cross-swiped both her hands in front of her face and mouthed "No."
"It was bland, nothing really happened." Jughead replied, then added on, "What about you guys?". "Pretty much the same. Today was pretty uneventful." I said. Both girls nodded their heads in agreement. Then I remembered what happened the last time I didn't tell Jughead something: the truth came out anyway, in the form of Chuck Clayton.
"Actually Jug," I paused and looked at both girls who gave me encouraging looks to go on. "Something did happen. Someone must've known about what happened with us yesterday because someone wrote 'slut' on my locker in lipstick." I said. What have I done? I knew I shouldn't have dragged him into this, why can't I fight my on battles for once?
Jughead looked furious and in shock. He looked furiously shocked. "What?" He said angrily. "It's true, we were there." Veronica said. "Yeah, we saw it." Cheryl spoke up. I had already told the girls about what Jughead and I did yesterday, so it wasn't news to them. Before I could respond to Jughead, Chuck approached our table with a disgusting grin on his face.
"Weirdest thing just happened. So you see, I was passing by lil' Betty Boop's locker here, and it appears someone cleared my artwork." He said. I swear to God, I'm about to cause another death here in Riverdale. "You did that?" V gritted through her teeth. "Where'd you even get lipstick, Chuck?" Cheryl asked sassily. "From you, my dear." Chuck said to Cheryl with that grin still on him.
"It fell out of your purse last Friday in the hallway." Chuck explained while taking it out of his pocket and tossing it back to Cheryl. She caught it and rapidly put it in a hidden pocket of her purse. "Oh, and Jughead, my boy, congrats on scoring your first! It may have been yours, but It sure as hell wasn't Betty's." Chuck said.
What the hell was he talking about? It most certainly was. "What the hell kind of drugs are you on, Chuck, because yes it was." I snapped."Oh, please, You had to have that lace you used for that little 'Dark Betty' costume of yours lying around somewhere." Chuck replied. "Bullshit." Veronica muttered. "What was that, princess?" Chuck asked as if he had the right.
I could tell Cheryl was getting pretty angry with Chuck's remarks to Veronica, and I would be too. In fact, I was. "Bullshit!" Veronica yelled as she stood up to face Chuck. Cheryl grew a look of concern as Juggie and I stood up as well, and she hesitantly followed our actions. "You really don't know when to take a hint, do you? You've been drugged, handcuffed, almost drowned, literally sticky mapled, slapped and punched in the face, and you're still at it!" Veronica yelled.
"I mean seriously how much more are you gonna stay around for?" Veronica continued. Cheryl mumbled to Veronica in an attempt to calm her down, but Veronica replied with, "It's okay, I got this.". "Yeah, why are you even here with us in the first place, we hate you, you hate us, just leave already." I said, a lot more calmly than Veronica had. Chuck turned his attention to me as he stepped closer.
He then said something that would keep me up at night. "No matter how hard you try, you can't just push me away. I own you, bitch.". And before I knew what was happening, he pushed his nasty lips against mine. I tried to fight him off. I punched and kicked and pushed, but nothing worked. Finally, Jughead Cheryl, and Veronica pulled him off, and Jughead wasted no time punching him in the face and kicking him in the gut.
Once Chuck was on the ground, the 4 of us walked away, and how convenient for us, the bell had rang and school was over.
