This time, I woke up peacefully, sitting up slowly and stretching my arms out with a yawn before making my way downstairs to the kitchen. The song from my dream kept playing through my head until I couldn't help but him it softly.

I walked over to the fridge, opening the door and reaching for a small cup of peach yogurt and a spoon from the drawer, still humming "Sunshine." I looked down at my bump, which was already growing and put my hand on its center before beginning to softly sing.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." It was then I heard footsteps coming into the kitchen, making me look up to see my mom.

"Hi, honey. Good to see you're up," she said, grabbing a mug from the cabinet. "Hey. Where's Jug?" I asked, looking into the living room to find it empty. "He went to school; missed the first three classes, but figured it'd be fine." My eyes widened as I realized how long today's been; from the appointment, going to Pop's and then my two naps, it felt like a week already.

"But shouldn't he be home by now?" I asked, looking at the clock. "It's five." "He told me he was going to Pop's after school to get something from Archie, probably the work from those other classes.

I nodded slowly before My mom walked over to me and leaned against the counter like I was doing, remarking, "I heard you singing." I smiled and let out a small breathy chuckle, replying. "Yeah, that song came to me in a dream; I like it for the baby."

"You already have a bond," Mom smiled as we walked over to the table. "Have you and Jughead thought of any names yet?" she asked as I took another spoonful of yogurt. "We're waiting for the sex," I answered.

"I get that, but have you been brainstorming at least?" "Well," I paused, smiling. "I was thinking 'Alice' after you, Mom." I saw tears form in her eyes as she smiled, making me tear up as well. "Elizabeth," she sighed, looking up as she wiped her eyes and sniffled.

"What does Jughead think?" "I haven't told him yet," I answered. "But I take it you're okay with it?" "More than, Betty. It would mean the world to me," Mom smiled, her hand on top of mine. "What other names have you thought of?" she asked.

"Maybe Tate for a more masculine name," I answered, figuring that'd be a name Jughead would like, too. "Well, both sound beautiful. What about middle names?" Mom asked, taking her hand from mine to hers, interlacing her fingers on the table.

I inhaled and let out a small laugh, answering, "We haven't even finalized the first name, Mom, it's a bit early for the middle." Mom just nodded slightly before looking at me and smiling with a sigh. "What? What is it?" I asked before bringing the spoon to my mouth once more.

"You're just so grown up now," she answered before taking a sip of her tea. "I'm sixteen, Mom," I replied with a chuckle before realizing what she meant. "Helly hell," I said quietly after fully taking in what I'd said.

I'm only sixteen and already almost four months pregnant, not to mention I spent my first trimester in a basement while my father kidnapped me. How has so much happened in what seems like such little time?

Thinking about everything that'd happened in the past few months was overwhelming; there's so much I'd missed already and I knew I'd only be missing more once the baby came, which I was still eerie about because of my nightmare, considering one of my nightmares managed to come true already; what if this one did to?

"Betty? Betty, are you okay?" my mom asked, her hand on my shoulder as I clicked back into reality. "Yeah, I'm fine, sorry. I was just thinking," I replied before going back to eating my snack. I didn't know how everything would unfold, I just wanted to have a happy ending for once.
