I turn around and to see Alex look at me, he was looking at me.

I turn back to Lili and shrug like it is no big deal, "So what?"

"What do you mean so what? He is staring at you, he likes you."

"Lili, sorry to break it to you but staring at someone doesn't mean you like them."

"Okay but he's coming over."

"What!"
I turn around to see Alex walk up to our tables, eyes locked on me.

"Hey sunshine." he greets me.

"Uh, hello? What do you want?" I answer him ignoring the nickname he just gave me.

"Well that's not a nice way to talk to your new friend." he says smirking.

"Friend? Since when are we friends?"

"Since you showed me around this morning. But that's not why I came here, I'm throwing a Halloween party, you and your friends are invited. See it as a way to say thank you for this morning."

Before I could say anything Lili already answeres for me "We'll be there."

I look over at her with a frown and turn around to say no to the offer when Alex speaks before I can.

"Okay, I'll text you the address."

"But you don't have my-"
Before I could finish my sentence Alex walks away, he literally walked away. What the hell?!

I turn to look at Lili again, "Why did you say yes, I don't want to go!"

"Stop whining, this is amazing! I can finally dress as a sexy cat or something my Pinterest board will finally be useful!"

I roll my eyes and finish my delicious
sandwich.

After school had finally finished I walk back home and open the front door with my key. I was usually home alone for some time before my father came home at night, drunk.

I walk up the stairs to my room and take a long bath, I change into my comfy pajamas and open my laptop to watch a movie.

Just as I was about to start The age of Adeline, I get a text from an unfamiliar number.

New message:

Hey sunshine, This is a picture with my address, the time of the party and all that shit.

Me:

Alex? How did you even get my number?

Alex:

A magician never reveals his tricks. See you at school sunshine.

How the hell did he get my number?!
I sigh and start watching my movie trying to forget it all. Forget confusing pretty boy, forget the halloween party, forget my father. I forget everything for a while but that all is interrupted.

I hear the front door open and close, I freeze when I realize he's here. I look at my clock, 11 pm, he's way earlier than usual.
