There she is, the one and only Chelsea.

She looks around and smiles when she sees Alex. Her smile quickly changes into a death glare when she makes eye contact with me.

She takes giant steps towards the table Alex and I are sitting at, the staccato beat of her high heel shoes echoing off of marble floors and granite walls.

"Hey Alex sweetie." she says making sure to bend down to Alex so her breasts are visible.

"Hey Chelsea, looking hot today." he says winking at her.

"Aw, thanks. You look extremely handsome as always. How did you like last night? Wanna come over again?"

What? Does she mean...

"Sure, I had an amazing time last night. You're hot in bed."

I couldn't believe what I just heard. Chelsea and pretty boy, the worst people in the entire school, hell, maybe even the worst in the whole town. But I shouldn't care, they're made for each other. She can have him, it's not like I'm jealous. I'm not jealous, am I? I look at them at disgust, gross, I'm definitely not jealous.

"What are you doing here? You didn't come with that whore right?" she glares at me and a her mouth curls into a smile, "Anyway, I have this amazing new thong, you totally have to check it out. Wanna go to my place later?"

Alex smirks and before he can answer I grab my jacket and get up, I'm so done with this, I'm done with Chelsea, I'm done with Alex. Why am I even mad? It's not like he's my boyfriend, stupid Alex, stupid Chelsea.

"I have to go, see you at school, I guess." I mumble as I take my jacket and head straight out to the door not waiting for any response.

As soon as I step outside of the parlor, rain starts pouring down, great, that's exactly what I needed.

Suddenly I realize that I have to walk home since it was Lili who took me to her house. This is absolutely fantastic, 25 minutes of walking in the rain, just what I needed.

I sigh and start heading to the direction of my house.
Why did I go away? I should have stayed, or not. No, I did the right thing, walking in the rain doesn't seem as bad as having to hear the rest of their "flirtatious" conversation.

I'm so deep in my thoughts that I don't hear the car driving up beside me, until it honks.
I turn my head to the vehicle that rolls down it's window and see that's it's Alex, Ugh, no.

"Hey Sunshine, get in the car, you'll catch a cold."

"No thanks, I'd rather catch a cold than having to spend any more time with you."

"What did I do?"

I ignore him and take bigger steps to avoid him.
He drives up next to me again and laughs.

"Is someone jealous?" he says grinning.

"What?! No, why do you even think that?"

"Come on sunshine, admit it."

"It's not true!"

"If it's not true, you'll let me drive you home."

I ignore him, that trick isn't going to work on me.

"Sooo, you are jealous."

"No I'm not."

"Then get in the car."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Please?"

"Fine!"

I step inside of the car and close the door aggressively.

"Are you happy now?" I ask him with an annoyed tone.

"Very." he says smiling.

"Where do you live?"

"Uh, you can drop me of at the library, it's 2 minutes walking from there."

"Why can't I drop you off at your house?"

Oh shit, what do I say now? I can't just say that I have an asshole father that will kill me and probably him too if he sees us.

"I need to go the library first to get a book for that extra credit book report." yeah, nice save.

"Oh okay."

We drive 5 minutes in silence, absolute silence.

"Okay, we're here."

"Thanks for giving me a ride, see you at school."

Before I can step outside of the car, Alex grabs my hand.

"Why did you run out of the diner? Was it because of Chelsea?"

"Bye Alex." I say ignoring his question and slamming the door shut.

Alex drives off as soon as I enter the library. I quickly walk out and start running home .

As soon as I step inside, I feel something off.
I search around the house but my father is no where to be seen.
What happened, did he get into an accident? Is he dead? Did he get drunk enough to kill himself? This can't be, no, it can't.

I take my phone out with shaking hands and call the number of the office my father works at.

"Hello." a sweet sounding lady greets me from the other line.

"Eh, hello, I was wondering if you knew where my father is, Gabriel Thawne is."

"Oh, he didn't tell you? He is on a business trip honey. He'll be back in 2 weeks."

"Okay, thank you, bye."

I quickly hang up the phone and stay completely silent. My father out of the house for a business trip.

My father won't be home for 2 weeks.
A smile makes it's way upon my face.
