Girl..friend?

You just kinda sat on the ground. Not even trying to get up, and Max sitting by you, asking a million questions.

"So.. How'd you get captured?"

"Got hit in the head with a bat in the woods."

"Why did he possess you?"

"To observe and find stuff about the camp."

And he asked a lot more questions. And some he repeated even. To be honest, you didn't get annoyed. It was nice to just talk by the water. No one came to even interrupt it either. It was nice. Max finally said his last question also.

"Well, are you ok?" Max asked looking at you. You decided to mess with him a little bit.

"Aw, was someone worried about me?" You stuck out your bottom lip a little saying that, then snickered. All he did was frown, but blush. He then faced the water and crossed his arms, but didn't say anything. "You didn't answer my question!" You said poking his side which made him flinch. "Were you worried about meeee?" You said repeating the question.

"I don't know, was I?" He replied.

"I don't know, were you?" You replied.

"Maybe I was, maybe I wasn't." He said facing you again, with a slight smirk on his face.

"Your annoying." You said rolling your eyes. He laughed a little. "Aw, you know you like me." You swore he said that almost proudly.

"I could say the same." You smiled with a slight blush. "Do you think we should get up?" You asked.

"And do what?"

You shrug. "To just be kids, and try not to get kidnapped in stuff." Max agrees and stands up. You try, but fail which made you fall on your butt. Max laughed and put out his hand. "Your a moron." You rolled your eyes once again and grabbed his hand. You got up, even if it took you a second to balance. You've never seen this side of him. It's sweet and caring. You bet you won't see it that often anyway.

You both started walking. Having small conversations on the way. It wasn't amazing out, but it wasn't horrible. It was cloudy and humid. Which made it feel sticky outside, but you didn't mind. After a while of walking you finally felt your body completely now. But it felt tired, so you didn't wanna do much today. You two finally found Nikki and Neil. That weren't doing much either. You all sat on a long and messed around.

"Wait.. Something's off." Neil said. "Why is Max, happy?"

Nikki looked at Max, then looked at you. Then a grin crept up on her face. "I think his new girlfriend has something do to with it!" Then Neil and Nikki both started laughing. Heat rose to your face, same as Max. Girlfriend kept repeating in your mind. Max slightly cringed. His face was more red than yours. "Girlfriend?" You said, slightly nervous.

"W-well-" "COME GET YOUR LUNCH!" The speaker interrupted Max. You shot up. Lifted your arms up, like if someone was telling you to, and you just walked away to the mess hall not saying anything else. You could hear them have another conversation while you were walking but you didn't care. You were the first person to get your food, and you just sat down in your normal spot.

After a few minutes, the others came. It was usually the same, we didn't talk a hole lot when we ate, just small talk. The only thing was, when you and Max created eye contact, you both would instantly look away embarrassed. It seemed Nikki and Neil didn't even take it seriously. They were even probably just joking.

But you and Max couldn't get it out of your mind.

After lunch was awkward. We did explore in the woods a little, it took it off your mind for a little bit which was fine. Else, you didn't do much. Gwen, of course, was watching her trash tv, and David.. Honestly you don't know. You haven't seen him a hole lot today. Just saw him once in a while. It was Saturday, they're break day. But we also have a bonfire on Saturday's. You wasted your day mostly hanging in the normal group. It seemed you and Max tried to just be normal. But even you, could tell, he wasn't his normal self.

When the day was over, and the sun was setting. We all gathered to the fire. Well, not all campers were there. Maybe, half. You don't always have to be there. You just like to. Nikki and Neil both went off to do something, you didn't over hear what exactly. So, it was just you and Max. It seemed like a long day that's for sure, and your kinda glad it's over.

You faced Max, he was just staring at the fire. "Maxxxx." You snapped in front of him. He faced you, "Hm? What?" You shrugged. The space of both of your faces were about six inches. "Um.. Today was fun." You really didn't know what to say. "Yeah, I guess." You smiled, which made him smile. And soon, the space between you two got smaller... and smaller. You couldn't describe what was happening. Both of your lips were about a inch away..

"HEY GUYS!" Nikki jumped out of the bushes that was behind the log. Both of you jumped, you fell backwards but caught yourself before falling on your back. "Nikki what the hell!?" Max said. "I was just wondering if you guys wanted to come with us in the woods!" Nikki replied. "NO." Max and you said at the same time. Nikki rose a eyebrow. You were completely embarrassed. Nikki shrugged. "Fine." She then went back into the woods. Max face palmed and you finally sat up.

A few minutes have pasted. Some of the other campers are talking, doing their own thing, you could hear the crickets and the crackling of the fire. It was just silent between you two. Until Max said something. "Hey.. Y/n?"

"Yeah?" You replied.

He looked down and fiddled with his fingers. "Well.. I was thinking about the hole... Um.." He sighs. "Girlfriend thing."

You froze. "Y-Yeah? What a-about it?"

This time he did a more aggressive sigh. "Well," He looked at you. "I was thinking..."

He's not gonna say it he's not gonna say it he's not gonna say it-

"If.. You, wanted to be my girlfriend.. or something." He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. Again, you were frozen, your heart was thumping fast. It felt like it was going out of your chest. You felt a blush on your face and looked at him in the eyes. Then you finally pulled a smile.

"Of course."
