Under A Dome

A nurse just came in and took my blood pressure. I knew what's happened to me and I guess I have recovered in a way. Well when I first woke up I clearly wasn't I mean I could hardly remember my own name. But correy knew what to do. He's there for me like he always was.

But yeah back to my story...I was now standing here opposite a boy who I haven't seen in years. A boy I was once in love with. Well when you fall as hard as I did you never really pick yourself back up again when you hit the ground. I got all flustered so Steph starting laughing. I told her to shut the fuck yo and explained that he was correy. They didn't believe me so obviously started yelling his name. He looked up and smiled at me but looked awkward. I tell everyone to shut up and they do. A large group of boys where surrounding him pointing at me and I felt so awkward. But this was the last day of school. I would have to wait a whole week to see him but there was no way I would say hi. I was still in shock that it was him.

We all got off the bus at the same stop and went to the local shop to buy sweets which we did on most days. Then we walked to the second bus stop to get home. Me and Steph could get home if we stayed on that bus but being the best friends in the world we got off with Tammy so that she wouldn't be awkward when she sees her ex.

We were standing at the stop when all of a sudden I felt a tap on my shoulder. Steph and Tammy went silent and looked up in amazement. I turned around it knowing who it was and I couldn't believe who it was. Of course. Correy. I looked up into his hazel brown eyes and smiled, my eyes widened.

"Maddie,"he said."Hi."

"Hi?" I was so confused; what was he doing here he literally lives in New Zealand.

"Long time no see."

"Yeah I'm.. so like..I mean ...what is ..um.. what are you doing here?," I finally spat out. I was such a nervous wreck.

"Well we had to transfer back because my dads company went bust so they opened a new branch here and it just so happens that, well I go to the boys school. It's so nice to see you again," he said.

I so wanted to say everything I had prepared for in this situation. I hadn't seen him in 4 years. But I couldn't get the word out. He looked the same as always. His brown soft hair scraped to one side and his cute smile beaming out at me. For a moment, it get like nothing had changed. I wondered had he thought about me. I wanted to know everything that has happened and what it means for the future. I wanted to ask him so many questions but I couldn't get the words out so all I said was,

"Yeah... hmm you too I was so *cough* surprised to like .. like see you," god I was making a fool of myself.

We made small talk for about 5 minutes awkwardly until

"Sorry gotta run I wasn't meant to get off here I just had to say hi because this is the fist time I've seen you since we moved here. I've missed you and I've thought about you al. Actually never mind I get of a wornby hill."

Which conveniently but unfortunalty where I get off.

"See ya around Maddie."

"Yeah see..y.. bye."

That was so awkward and my friends agreed. This was so weird. The boy I was in love with and who used to love me back goes to my school nearly. I knew that nothing would be the same from now on.

He had an accent. Not a strong one just a hint of kiwi.
