"You're dating Lance?" Keith made his way towards Katie, who was in the school library.
"Yeah, why?" She put down the school book she was studying with.
"Why didn't you tell me before hand?" Keith folded his arms.
"It didn't occur to me that you cared about Lance that much." She looked Keith directly in the eyes.
"But I do care about your love life, Katie! You out of all people, should know that! I'm always there for you when you need me, I tell you everything!" Keith rambled on repeat.
"Look, Keith. I'm greatful for everything you do for me, but i'm not obligated to tell you everything about my life. You bashed on me when I told you I was just texting him, and this is the exact reaction I wanted to avoid."
"I thought we were bestfriends?" Keith questioned, one more argument away from ending it all. "We are! It's just, I need more alone time..."
"Shhhh!" The librarian made her way towards us. "Continue your conversation somewhere else! This is a quiet reading area."
"Oh, were actually done talking now. I'm studying." Katie replied coldly. "Then you're friend has to leave." The librarion scolded Keith.
Katie eyed the oriental, before half smiling at him. "Let's talk later."
-
"Hey!" Lance ran up towards Keith who was walking in the hallway. "What's up, Keithy-cake?"
"Don't wanna talk about it." Keith sighed, looking away from the cuban peeping up behind him. "And I thought I told you to stop calling me that."
"Pfft, as if. This is a perfect excuse for me to make fun of you without any penalties." Lance chuckled.
"Oh you think i'm not a threat?" Keith looked behind him, locking his lavender eyes with the latino's ocean blue ones. "Try me, Mcclain."
"You, a threat? Oh please, you're so small!" Lance laughed, dragging Keith into a headlock with one hand, and ruffling his hair with the other.
"Stop!" Keith laughed, his face crumpled up in flocks of red. "Lance!"
"What was that? I can't hear you over the sound of you being a threat!" Lance teased. "Okay, fine! You win."
"And for your information, i'm average height. You're just freakishly tall!" Keith scoffed, earning a smirk from Lance. "Whatever you say, Keithy-cake." Lance winked, causing Keith to look away, flustered by his action.
"So, um." Lance put his hand on Keith's shoulder, earning a look of confusion mixed with akward shyness from the oriental. "We're going to the movies later tonight. I wanted to know if you'd like to join us."
"Um, i'll have to see if I have the money." Keith replied, causing Lance to raise an eyebrow, intrigued. "I got it covered." The boy replied nonchalantly. "Lance, don't. It's really okay."
Although Keith wanted Lance to agree with him, he also wanted Lance to insist, so that he could have an excuse to leave his house for once.
Surprisingly enough, Keith was learning how to become more of an extrovert when he started hanging out with Lance.
Something he wasn't used to, but that doesn't mean he didn't enjoy it.
"I insist."
-
"You're not going to the movies." Keith's dad placed his jacket on the coat rack, before shifting his view towards his son. "Why not, dad?"
"Come on dear, let our child enjoy his youth." Helen stepped in. "Do you even know this boy? He could be a rapist!" Keith's father, Markus, replied worringly.
