Also, I would like to add something about the topic of shipping. I know that shipping is like thee entire fandom (next to fanart and Fanfiction). But, seriously guys, keep shipping to a minimum. What I mean is, don't over do it, let the ppl have their privacy, and please please do. Not. Pressure. The. People who have been shipped. This is a very big issue and I can't ship two real life ppl without being guilt. And I hate it. Yes, I understand fictional characters (e.g. Slade, Robin, Batman, etc. etc.), but when that person is real, or the voice actor is shipped you should (have to) let them have their frickin privacy.
I had my friend, fairlyaesthetic write a (practically rant) paragraph about the Voltron fandom, here's what he had to say and oh is it telling...
Basically a bunch of antis in the Voltron fandom fight a bunch. A couple months back the creators of Voltron said Keith and Shiro have more of a teacher-student or big bro-little bro relationship rather than a romantic one. A lot of the antis (some Klance shippers) started a bunch of fights talking about how Sheith is pedophilia and that is gross and messed up to ship it. They were also going on about how Klance will be canon and Sheith is dead and people were literally threatening each other. Over a fucking ship. Few months later an interview came out (honestly that interview pissed me off bc it was mainly questions about ships and stuff) saying that Keith and Lance will learn to like each other as people, and it will be (I can't remember if they said most likely or not) platonic. So then a bunch of Sheith shippers were doing the same thing the antis did to them. They did it to any Klance shipper though, and a lot of other ppl who don't ship Sheith (it was a mess). Then later on a handbook was leaked and ppl got their ages (later on it was said that none of it was canon) but it said Lance was 17, Keith was 18, and Shiro was 25. This was written before Lance's birthday so he would be 18, Keith would be turning 19, and Shiro would still be 25 for the remainder of the year. People kept saying Klance is pedophilic and that Sheith is 100% legal (I still find it a bit weird bc that's a seven years difference and Keith's still too young to have as the experience of an older person (like Shiro)). I'm not saying I hate Sheith, I just don't personally ship shaladin. But basically the Voltron fandom is full of a lot of ship wars, if you join the fandom, just take the fanart, fanfiction, and cool theories and stay away from the fights.
Oh dear....yah, Voltron is a mess. But anyway, I completely agree with Aesthetic. Just....let people have their privacy.
