Alexander POV

I was furious. "What do you mean that you gave her the go ahead to proceed? Sean was in the fucking house when the canister went off. The priority is SEAN. IF YOU WORK FOR ME, IT IS ALWAYS SEAN," I scream.

I got control of my emotions and looked at my second in command saying, "Explain to me why you would put him at risk."

Eric Sampson looks at me via facetime and says, "Because we had to make a choice that we knew you would not make. Sean was getting too close, and you just couldn't see it. The only way to keep him and his brothers safe was to eliminate them from the equation. Alexander, there is one thing fiercer that I have seen than your need to protect Sean, and that was Lindy's need to protect Owen. Sara James proved she would lay down her life for Owen when she joined us, but we knew that as much as she wanted to, that Sara could not kill Joshua. Joshua will rue the day that he thought it was a good idea to experiment to see if Sara was really his wife."

"You do realize the problem with giving the go ahead don't you," I ask Eric.

"What are you talking about? It will all go according to plan. We will pull her out, and give her the antidote. We will deal with the rest later," Eric says.

I look him in the eye and say, "She had a fucking episode today, and Sean gave her vasodilators as a precaution. What affect will that have on the absorption into her system?"

Eric looks at me and says, "No one told me."

"Well that answers my question. You did not think. How has our medical practice survived without malpractice suits? Oh I know, because I don't normally let you see patients. Let's hope that you have not signed her death warrant, Eric. In the future maybe you should stick to obeying orders rather than giving them," I say coldly.

"She knew there were risks. Just go put on your white mask and 'save Sang' like you have been doing since you found out about her," Eric says.

"Don't mock me, Eric. We knew that the day would come that he would find someone to love, and we would have to expand the protection. I will admit that the girl seems to have earned the nickname that kid Gabriel gave her of Trouble, but she has made the past few months entertaining. I do enjoy getting the other boys worked up though. Lay a white mask down somewhere, and they do go running," I say smiling.

I quickly change into all black. The guns and ammunition are already in the car. I channel my anger to where it needs to be, on Joshua Blackbourne. I knew this day would come five and half years ago when he took Sara James. I would have ended it back then, but when we finally found where he was keeping her, we arrived and everyone was gone. It seems that Owen and Sean used Academy resources to get her out, but the end goal of ending Joshua's reign of abuse did not come to fruition.

Joshua hid away, and while I thought that he would give up his obsession, I should have known that it would not go away. We formulated a plan, bringing in Sara James into the fold. She was hesitant at first, but we convinced her that the need to protect Owen was worth anything that she might have to endure. We could not just kill him outright. If Joshua died of anything but natural causes the hits would go out.

Eric was wrong about what Joshua would regret. He was going to regret the day that he threatened Sean. Always know your enemy Joshua, ALWAYS KNOW YOUR ENEMY.

I dial the phone and wait for him to answer.

Sara POV

I slowly wake up, and I am in a bedroom with Sang. The guys gave us both something to knock us out for a short period of time to keep up appearances. Sang is still asleep, but I gently shake her awake. I give her a look not to say anything. I put my hands under the blanket and motion for her to follow them with her eyes. I start signing to her.
