This is the 5th chapter for update day, so if you landed here first you might want to go back and start with the chapter Is Sara Volto?

SEAN'S POV

We are all in Sara's living room. Every nervous tick that the team has is coming out. I have given serious consideration to giving North a sedative because he has already overturned and broken furniture in almost every room, but I know that we need everyone clear headed. North wants nothing more to than start drinking and take apart the cars, but I shut him down with three words, "Sang needs you."

While everyone is distraught, Owen is the one that is taking everything the hardest. He has not said a word in the last hour. He just keeps replaying the recordings, especially the one between Dr. Sampson and Sara. I can tell that he is trying to replay every conversation that he has had with Sara since he has met her, looking for clues to determine whether she could really be his mother. The look in his eyes was more than anyone could stand when remind him that while Dr. Sampson referred to her as Lindy, an Academy DNA tests said that she was not his mother. This has plunged him into a state of total confusion. What surprised me is that the news that his father wanted to put hits out on us did not even faze him, but the fact that his father had waited five years and valued each of us at $10 million was a shock. Owen always knew that his father was ruthless.

It's been two hours since Sara and Sang disappeared. I am still trying to make sense of the clues that we have been left. Since Owen is not capable of leading the meeting, I ask everyone to sit down so we can get started.

"We have a lot of information to go through, so I thought we could start by just listing out what information we have been able to gather. We have redirected audio and video in this room only so we can speak freely. Corey is playing a loop of an empty room."

"Victor, why don't you start with Sara's activities in the safe room," I say.

Victor clears his throat and says, "Sara's movements an hour prior to taking Sang include her going down into the safe room, and turning off the primary security systems. She made it appear that she was also turning off the secondary systems, but she kept them active. She retrieved a box which contained a cell phone and a letter. She called a number from the contacts, and spoke to a person that identified themselves as Dr. Sampson. From her medical records, we have confirmed that Dr. Eric Sampson consulted on her case after her abduction five years ago. He instructed her to proceed with their plan. After hanging up with Dr. Sampson, Sara retrieved a backpack and several canisters of gas which she set off near the heating system so it would spread throughout the house. She then went to Sang's room and told her that they needed to leave. Sang questioned what was going on, and Sara pulled out what looked like a regular gun, but we have now identified that is was actually just a tranquilizer gun. She kept telling Sang that they did not have a choice. As they were leaving, Sara saw that Sean was on the phone with the hospital message service. Sara stated that the effects of the gas would wear off quickly by giving us straight oxygen, which was an accurate statement. There are several things that do not make sense. The phones were blocked for incoming calls and emails hours before Sara took the system down. The system that was used was very sophisticated because it still allowed us to make outgoing calls. Also, the vehicle that Sara and Sang drove away in arrived at the gate about 12 minutes before the canisters were set off. They cleared the gate by using a video of an eye scan in the system. When I started digging into the file, it deleted itself. This technology should not be possible. The block was lifted as soon as Sara and Sang were off the property. As soon as the block lifted, we received the emails and voicemails that were received during the down time."

I look at the group and say, "So at the moment we have identified four individuals that are tied to Sang's abduction. First, Joshua Blackbourne. I believe that all of you are familiar with his background. While he was never charged with any crimes, he confessed to Owen that he killed Owen's mother, Melinda 'Lindy' Blackbourne. We also know that he abducted Sara five years ago. We believe that Sang's abduction has to do with seeking revenge against Owen and me for rescuing Sara."
