The Dark Queen (Light and Dark Book 2)

A theif

A women screamed as a girl with a mask pulled out a knife. "Guards!" A boy yelled as he grabbed her hand. Kyra and Ryan  ran from the guards. "There they are!" A guard yelled. Kyra looked behind her. The guards were gaining. "Ryan let go of me I will go with them run!" Kyra yelled as she pushed his hand off.  Kyra were grabbed by the guards and was taken away. She was pushed to the floor of a large room.

Queen Alvara sat there she looked at her. Kyra tore her eyes away from the queen. She hated the royal family.  She hated what they did to her father. They had him killed, all because he preformed demonic magic. "Kyra lionheart. Daugther of the dark mage, do you know why we have be trying to find you?" Queen Alvara said looking at her. "Because i am a daughter of a dark mage, because i am forced to steal to live!" Kyra yelled at her.

Queen Alvara walked to her, she got down to eye level. "No because you have a power of the angel of blood." Queen Alvara said looking at her. "Ha right i am nothing but a normal elf." Kyra said as the other Angelic wariors came in.  Kyra backed away as fast as she could her hands bound.

Kyra stood up. She try to get out of the room. "Lukas you scared her." Ember teased Lukas. "What ever." Lukas said roleing his eyes.  Kyra kicked one of the guards swords out of it's hilt and it cut the ropes. "Impressive." Alex said as Kyra looked at them. "My dear you are hurt." Cordelia said looking at her shirt. The shoulder was cut, and was dyed red, the blood was already drying. "Oh we my have cut her when we brought her here." A guard said.

Kyra didn't care she was looking for a way out. Kyra saw a window and she saw Ryan at the window. "We have agreed to let you stay but you must learn to control your powers." Alvara said as she looked at her. "I will never join, you after what you did to the only one that cared about me." Kyra said as she ran past them she jumped of the throne and caught a rope. Ryan pulled her up.

Kyra and Ryan ran across the roof. The angelic Warriors flew out the window.  Ryan grabbed her hand. "We need to jump!" Ryan said over the wind. "I trust you!" She yelled jumping off. Ryan didn't. She looked at him as he smiled down at her. He turned into a demon. Kyra closed her eyes, as the Angelic warriors dove after her. There was a wave of power sent throw the air.

Kyra hit the lake. The air was knocked out of her.  Kyra swam up, she couldn't breath. she try to reach for the surface. She blacked out. The water turned red, Lukas dove in, he saw a red light, he swam to it. He broke the surface, he pulled Kyra onto the side of the lake. The others ran over. Thanatos sighed as they brought her into an extra room in the angelic wing. 

They put Kyra in a bed. "She is so cute when she is sleeping." Cordelia said as Kyra turned, "I can't believe that this is the child we were looking for." Alex said as he looked at Kyra. "A child of a dark wizard. She didn't know what she was." Ember said pressing her head on her arm. "Yet we all started out this way, not knowing what we where." Lukas said as he walked out of the room.

Kyra woke up she looked around. She was in a room, it was in the place.  She got out of the bed. She walked to the door it was locked, she walked to the balcony the glass doors opened.  She pulled out a necklace, it was a dark red stone. It started to burn her skin. she didn't care it was the only thing left of her fathers work. 

Kyra looked at the room. She put on a black shirt and she pulled up her mask. She heard a click and she looked at the door. She turned to see Lukas there. she stubbed back to the rail of the balcony. He caught her and she looked at him. "You are coming with me." He said pulling on her arm. He pulled her along. Soon he came to a room. The door was covered in symbols. "The training room is in here. It can only be opened by the Angelic warriors. try opening it." Lukas said letting her go.

Kyra put her hand on the door handle. She pulled the door open.  Kyra looked at her hand it still had the burn. She walked in. The other Angelic warriors looked at her. "Okay...now I believe you." Kyra said as she turned around. Thanatos watched her she seemed to have something else around her. Thanatos saw a dark spirt, more like a invisible demon than a spirt.

Kyra looked around there was weapons and potions. "Do you know how to use your magic?" Cordelia said looking at her. "No, I never knew I had any." Kyra said as she touched her pendent. She looked at the necklace. It began to crack.  It shattered, a Demon came out. Kyra fell back she hit her head on a stone base of a dummy. The demon was killed quickly. Thanatos looked at her. 

Kyra got off the floor. "What happened?" Kyra said looking at the metal chain around her neck. "A demon was held in your necklace. Did your father give it to you?" Thanatos said looking at her. Kyra didn't say a thing. "Tell me!"  Thanatos yelled his eyes flashed red. Kyra ran put of the room. She had to find a horse or something. Kyra ran to what looked to be the stables. She was right.

She kicked a guard off his horse. She rode to the gates. Tears ran down her face. Kyra made it she rode past the walls of the capital. She rode to the only place she knew. She got off the horse, she ran inside her father's house. She tripped as she ran in the stairs. She ran to her room. She fell on her bed. She cried, she didn't want to be one of them. She hated them.
