Note: Sorry that it's been awhile guys. I guess I just didn't have it in me to update, but I didn't forget about you guys or Wattpad, or all my boys :p. I'm back, but I'm not sure for how long, lol.
Anyways, enjoy this chapter. We only have one more before we get to "the end". But don't worry, it isn't really the end just yet ;)
When all of this started, for some reason I believed that finding Nick and bringing him back would be something easy. Maybe it would take like a week at most, but definitely not a month and a half.
I was wondering how my mom was holding up. Since time passed differently in Hell then it did back at home, she was probably freaking the fuck out. I can just imagine her, calling the cops and searching the whole damn town until she could find at least one clue as to where I might have gone.
It was different for Nick though, because to everyone else he was just another dead body to be buried. But I didn't want to give up, and I was way past doing that anyway, especially now.
I was already feeling anxious enough, but it wasn't until we arrived at our destination that my nerves shot right up. Was it some kind of rule that all demons had to live in behemoth castles? I was wondering if Raven had been here before, or if he had just met the demon that lives here. He was an acquaintance of Abdiel, so I'm just going to assume that he's big and scary and probably has an obsession with small boys like myself.
Although, that just makes him sound like some kind of creep. Then again, I was kidnapped by a demon who was either going to serve me like a roasted pig, or use me as a "play toy" when he got bored.
"Is there a reason why he owns a mansion even though he is the only one who lives in it?" I ask, examining the gates and stone gargoyles that stood on guard.
'Please be fake, holy fuck.'
"It appears that demons, arrogant creatures like him in particular, thrive when their power is put on display. Sort of like a trophy. The bigger it is, the better you are." Yofiel said as he studied the Gargoyles, eyeing them with a look of distaste.
Huh, so even demons liked to one-up each other. Doesn't surprise me.
"Do you have a mansion too Raven?" I turn to the scarlet-eyed demon, asking out of mere curiosity and well...no one needs to know why else.
He upturned an eyebrow at me with a small smirk on his lips.
"Why? Do you want to see it?"
Although I could feel my cheeks heating at the question, I decided I wouldn't tell the truth that yes I did want to see it, and maybe we could chill on the floor by the fire on top of some fur rugs. Plus hot cocoa. You could never go wrong with hot cocoa.
