Chapter 5

CONNOR’S P.O.V

I still remember her face at Starbucks this afternoon.  Those beautiful eyes met mine, her laughs, she’s so funny and attractive and beautiful and hot.  And so much more about her that attracted me.  At the first time I landed my eyes on her during my research, I thought I was falling for her (okay if that counted as ‘love at the first time’).

“Bro, dinner is ready!”  Riley yelled from outside my room, since I closed the door.  I didn’t want those clowns recognized my blushing cheeks.

“Be there in one minute!”

A moment later I heard Riley stepped down the hall.  I changed myself into some comfy tee, threw the laundry to its bin, and took one last look at my phone.  I didn’t know for what, until I knew I should start something.

“Okay, here we go…”  I mumbled myself and started to type.

Hey, landed safely already?

I seriously swore to God really wanted to wait for her reply, but concernedly thinking she might take that as the embarrassing one.  And the moment I thought so was the moment I already pressed the ‘send’ button. 

“Connor, you’re dying or what?!”  This time I got Toby’s voice from outside.

“Okay!”

And by that, I left my phone under the pillow tried to forget what I just did.  But, you know, still constantly waiting for some reply.  Hah.

“What did you do upstairs?”  Riley gave me suspicious look when I landed on my seat.

“Counting stars,” I returned him another suspicious look.  “I was changing of course.”

“Just saying, but you need to make a move on Amanda, Con.”

The middle McDonough over here made me cough so hard.

“What did you say?  Silly, what was that for?”

“For everything you got on your mind.”

“I got nothing on my mind, bro…”

“Yeah, nothing but Amanda…”  Toby walked after me with his victory expression.  And out of my control, I already lost myself in the middle of dinner, staring at nothing between those chicken I didn’t know.

“Con, hey Connor!  Seriously our big bro has lost his mind at their first meeting, can you imagine what happened on the tour life?”  Riley laughed so hard like he won a price.

“Nothing is happening okay guys, I didn’t love her…”

“Who said we’re having a love topic over here again?” Riley laughed again.  Okay bro, just laughed as loud as you want.

I ran off the kitchen to wash my dishes.  Seriously I needed to took myself away from this topic and avoid my silly brothers at living room, but we didn’t have another way to go upstairs.  Joy.

“Okay Connie, come here, just sit.  Let’s have a talk.”  Toby put his arm around my shoulder dragged me to the couch. 

“So, with those obvious looks, we know you have crush on Amanda.  And that’s normal bro.  They’re seriously all beautiful and hot.  I know Amanda attracted your eyes since the first time James told us about the tour stuff.”

“So don’t mock me for that…”  I pouted my face.

“No one would mock you.  Instead, you have to make a move.  Like me.”  Toby winked.

“What was that mean?”

“I’ve texted Samantha and yeah, after some talks, we talked about you guys.  Amanda likes you.”

“And you like Samantha, you mean?”

“Hah forget about me, the youngest McDonough is always being the creative one.  And don’t always be the eldest McDonough who failed to try to change the topic around.”  I really wanted to kill Toby, remembering Mom and Dad weren’t at house right now.

“Chase after her, bro.  I got your back.”  Riley placed his hand at my back.  He literally got my back.

“Me too,” then I got another hand at my back from Toby.

“Thank you clowns, you’re the best!”  I kissed their cheeks in a hurry motion and ran away, leaving them with sighed here and there because we seriously never done that.
