The next morning I woke up to Kyle shaking me.

“Get up sleepy head” he shouted.

“I’m up.” I said leaning forward to show him.

“I’ll lend you clothes for today” he said.

“I forgot we had school.”  I replied. He tossed a shirt and pants to me and I went to the bathroom to get dressed. We ran outside to catch the bus and we were just on time to hear the bell to dismiss us to first period. We parted ways and promised not to make anyone suspicious about us. School was the usual and after last period Kyle and me met in the hallways.

“Do you want to go home?” he said.

“No, but I have to.” I replied.

“Good luck, call me if you need anything.” He said.

“Okay, thank you.” And we parted our ways.

When I arrived home, my dad wasn’t home, which meant he was at work. Good A day off. My mother and I ate dinner and I told her about Kyle, and she promised not to tell my dad.

“Are you ready for tomorrow?” my mom asked.

“What’s tomorrow?” I asked in reply.

“Does the last day of school ring a bell?” There was no way this was happening it was the last day of school already?

“Oh, yeah” I stuttered.

And dinner was ended I went to text Kyle:

“I have a question why would you come to school for a week?”

“Because I didn’t have enough days to graduate.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah I won’t be at school tomorrow, I have my college interview.

“Oh, Good luck!”

“Thanks.”

And that was it.

“Well, I guess I’ll see you soon,” he said while holding several suitcases.

“When?” I replied.

“I don’t know, soon hopefully,” he said as he got into his car. As the car pulled out of the driveway he waved, and just like that he was gone out of my life. I had only known him a short while and yet he knew all my secrets and we fell for each other.
