[Bananach Ahnmik - half black gyrfalcon half Black cobra. Eyes - R:Garnet L:Dark Purple. Black hair with silver/cobalt bangs and white pik-a-boo]

I watched the dancers from across the Market, Zane was there dancing with his eyes closed and I couldn't stop myself from staring only at him. His moves were smooth like falling water or like silk running through your hands. Zane face moved in my direction and he opened his eyes. His garnet eyes found me but before he moved to the next step of the dance I moved out of his line of sight, blending in with the throng of people. ' It's the first time I've been back in three years, he probably doesn't recognize me.' I thought as I looked at a Jewelry vendors merchandise. I looked through the necklaces and found one I thoroughly liked, it was a wire wrapped tree with seven different colored stones on the branches on a bronze chain. I paid the python for the necklace and happily clasped it around my neck, where it hung right below the hollow of my throat. I began to make my way out of the Market when someone grabbed my wrist, I turned and saw Zane standing there with his eyes sparkling with happiness. He was the first to speak. "It's so good to see you. I almost  thought I wouldn't see you again." I looked away from his jeweled eyes. "Almost... that's how close I was to not being able to come back at all." I said softly, taking a step towards him. He took me into his arms and held me, his face buried in my hair. In the past three years he grew a whole foot taller than me, I couldn't help but notice. "H-hey Zane?" I asked "Yes?" He replied against my hair. I took a deep breath and said, "We need to talk." He stiffened briefly before nodding. "Can you meet me here at midnight?" I asked, getting butterflies in my stomach. "I can do that." He said, holding me tighter.

~ Later~

I arrived ten minutes early so I could try and calm my nerves. "He's going to hate me." I whispered to myself. I leaned against a wall, my heart pounding in my chest as I waited for Zane. A few minutes passed by before Zane appeared, he looked beautiful in the moonlight. "Zane." I said, walking towards him. "What is it you wanted to talk about?" He asked, worry filling his gaze. I looked into his garnet eyes and started, "I have been hiding something but before I show you, I need to know I can trust you. Before you answer I have one more thing to say. In the time we have spent together I care so deeply for you that I, I am in love with you." Zane stared at me, his eyes wide and bright. He was quiet for a few moment before saying, "I love you too and you can always trust me, Bananach." My eyes filled with tears as I grabbed his hand. "I hope you don't hate me after I show you my secret. You deserve to know all of who I am." I pulled his hand onto my neck and ran it up my nape where my feathers were. I felt him jump at the touch of feathers and his brows furrowed in confusion. "How?" Is all he asked. "I'm a Wyvern, half falcon half cobra." I said, not looking at his eyes. There was a long silence, neither one speaking. "I don't care." Zane said, breaking the silence. I looked at him. "What?" "I don't care, I love you regardless of what you are. To me you are just Bananach, the girl who stole my heart with her first dance." Zane said smiling.
