Marinette's POV

I walk into class and see Alya already sitting down in her spot. She sees me and waves. "Mariette, finally," She shoves her phone in my face when she sits down. I look at it and my tweet from yesterday is pinned to her twitter. "What do you think this means?"

"Ummm," I have no clue what to say. Of course, I know exactly what it means, but I can't tell Alya that. Well, I could tell her. I could just tell her I'm Ladybug now and get this whole thing over with. No secrets. Yeah, Yeah I'm going to tell her. I open my mouth, but I stop myself. Sabrina walks into the room and I'm reminded. Alya would probably be disappointed if she knew I was Ladybug. She is my number one fan after all.  Plus, I'm just Marinette, there's nothing "Ladybugie" about me.

Alya snaps her finger in front of my face. "Earth to Marinette. What do you think it means,"

"Oh! Um, maybe she's working on a super secret project?" I say hopefully satisfying her craving for answers. I can't tell Alya now, there are too many people in this room.

"That's what I thought, but I have no Idea what kind of project she could be working on," Alya groans and sits back in her seat, "Why is Ladybug so cruel?"

I stifle a laugh and Alya goes on and on about theories about what the tweet could mean. While Alya talks, Nino and Adrien walk in together. Nino sits down immediately, but Adrien stands for a second. He looks back at Alya and me for a second. For a split second, I'm staring into his bright green eyes. I quickly move my eyes away, I can feel my face grow hot. I can't believe he just caught me looking at him. Adrien sits down but turns back around. "Are you guys talking about Ladybug?"

Alya's face lights up even more, "She about the only thing I ever talk about!" She exclaims, "Do you watch her videos?"

"I've watched a couple," Adrien begins to lean on the edge of Alya and my table. "She's a great singer."

I try not to blush as Alya and Adrien continue their conversation. "Right! She posted this on her twitter," Alya shows Adrien her phone, "and I'm trying to figure out what it means. It could mean anything though! It could mean she's going to be in a movie, or collab with another artist, or-"

"Or maybe she's pregnant!" Nino butts in, laughing a little to himself. Adrien elbows his friend in the side, but Alya sits there thinking even deeper now.

"Do you think?"

There's no time to answer because class starts. The teacher walks to the front of the class and starts railing on about the history of France. Soon enough we're opening our E-Textbooks. "We're going to take turns reading a few chapters each. Nino, start."

Nino groans quietly but starts reading anyway. "The first written records for the history of France appear in the iron age. What is now made up the bulk of the region known to the Romans as Gaul." Nino drags on for the next few paragraphs. I halfheartedly listen and try to keep myself from dozing off.

"Okay, Adrien," The teacher says and for some reason, I feel myself bolt up. I'm excited for what Adrien is going to say, even though I know it's going to be the same old boring stuff.

"Victory in the Hundred Years' War had the effect of strengthening French nationalism and vastly increasing the power and reach of the French monarchy," Adrien speaks fluidly. He doesn't once stutter or misread a word. Soon the words don't matter. I'm hypnotized by the sound of Adrien's smooth voice.

I walk through a hall. The only light coming from a half opened door. I hear a familiar voice muffled, but still speaking. I find myself drawn to the door. I walk closer and closer until I'm close enough to touch it. I open the door.
