Marinette's POV

When I wake up (Yeah I know I'm gonna be, I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you) I feel myself feeling stereotypically groggy. I find myself slowly going down the stairs to eat breakfast. Mom and Dad are working in the bakery so I have the dining room to myself. I grab cereal and milk and slowly eat it at the table.

As I'm shoveling spoonfuls of cereal into my mouth, I feel my phone vibrate. The notification says it's from Chat

C: Hey! Have you recorded anything yet?

As soon as I read the message, I remember. TODAY'S MY FIRST DAY OF RECORDING! I ditch my cereal and run straight up to my room. I quickly take off my pajamas and put on an outfit I might wear to a day of school, but I make sure It's a little nicer. Like the first day of school kind of outfit.

I sit down to do my makeup, but then remember I still haven't answered Chat.

L: I'm getting ready to right now! I'm excited but really nervous at the same time.

I start applying my makeup leaving the ringer on my phone on so I can hear when Chat replies. He doesn't take very long to reply.

C: Just be yourself and don't be nervous. Your producer isn't judging you and wants to help you make a name for yourself.

I feel myself calming down a bit because of Chat's advice. That still doesn't change the fact that I need to get ready now and Chat is only going to distract me.

L: Thanks, Chat. I've got to get ready now, but I'll talk to you soon.

I put down my phone and finish up on my makeup. I run downstairs and there mom is waiting for me. We wordlessly get into the car and she drives me to the studio. I'm nervous, but definitely not as nervous as the first time I went there. Still nervous none the less.

We get to the studio. I reassure mom that she doesn't have to come with me and I give her a peck on the cheek goodbye. I slip through the paparazzi and get to the guard, he looks like the same guard as before. "Marinette Dupen-Cheng," He glances at his sheet then opens the door for me.

I ride the elevator to my floor and step out to see an empty floor. No one, not even Tikki is there. I feel a bit awkward and I even check to make sure I'm on the right floor. Yup, 13. I sit on the couch feeling very foreign. I awkwardly check my phone and debate messaging Chat again. I decide not to, he has his own life after all. In fact, maybe he's here.

I quickly stand up and try to find the recording room that he could be in. My fuzzy memory brings me to the right room, but sadly no Chat. The room with all the buttons is completely empty, the only signs of life being the small led lights that blink every few seconds.

A pull starts in my stomach telling me to touch one of the buttons. It tells me to touch all the buttons. I try to walk away, to walk back into the sitting room and wait for someone to come in, but my body says no. I sit down in the big comfy chair and put on the bulky pair of black headphones. They weigh my head down but I continue.

I press a button and it plays a low consistent boom in my right ear. I press the one next to it and it plays the same boom in my left ear. I slide a lever up and both my ears are filled with a piano. I push up a few more levels and it sounds like a car crash. I laugh out loud.

Suddenly a hand slides a few of the levers down and a few more up. I look up to see Tikki with the other pair of headphones on. Almost instantly I throw the headphones off my head.  "Tikki, I'm so sorry," I say still frozen to the seat.

"It's fine. Listen to this though," I sit there for a second looking at her before I quickly put the headphones back on. This is much better. The low booming is still there and the piano is there, but it's much softer. It's accompanied by a loud guitar. Through the headphones I hear Tikki laughing, "It's good, huh?"
