Knowing our weekend getaway is coming up, is beginning to build up nerves inside me. We've been together alone in her home but that's within the pack. This time it's going somewhere alone where no family are around to disturb us.

The bond has become so much more stronger now that it has been completed. I feel every little frustration she has while she's at work. I feel all the nerves, the worry of how the pack see us.

We were both raised to treat each other and everyone around us right, we were seen as the alphas children. They are my parents except by blood, she is my everything. I protect her like I would if she were my blood sister, love her like a lover should and talk to her like a best friend would.

She is everything to me.

She is my entire world for the last 5 years I have known her to be my mate.

"You want to marry her son?" The alpha says standing beside me at the barbecue. It is finally my day off and the day before we go away for the weekend.

"If you'll let me" I say with a smirk on my face. My dad nudges me with his elbow and laughs

"Son, you went away because you didn't know what your wolf would do to such a young girl, that right there says you'll do what is best for her to save what disastrous things may come of it, so yes you have my permission"

"When are you going to ask her?" My mum comes behind the alpha wrapping her arms around him.

"It's been a few months now that we've been together, I want to wait a while longer but I wanted to make sure it was ok with the two of you" I turn taking my mums hand in mine and kiss her hand "You took me in when you didn't have to and for that I'll forever be grateful, I know if my parents were alive I'd still be calling you ma because that's how close you were with my mum" I could see the tears in her eyes build

"I miss them every single day, you don't understand the bond I had with them" She smiles "We had been together from day one along with your aunt lily, the three of us would get into so much trouble before Vince and Daniel came into the picture" I could see her reminisce about her past and that's what happened later that night.

We currently sit in my parents home, listening to them tell us stories about what they were like when they met.

As they reminisce I can scent out my beautiful mate. Turning my head I smile in her direction to which she returns the smile. I don't move towards her I let her come to me. I know the disapproving glances affect her so I've told her to take that step towards me instead of me doing it.

It took some time for me to accept who my mate is and I've overcome that. She has just recently turned 18 so she still has time to adjust.

"Hey love" I say as she sits beside me "If they are bothering you we can leave, if you like?" I whisper in her ear.

She shakes her head "She's close to putting them in their place"

"That's my girl" I say smiling "You show them your true nature and I'll be there right beside you"

She chuckles staring out towards the pack, rolling her eyes at the ones who glare at us and smiles at those that wave our way.

Aiden has been gone for a few days now and I know Jasmine is going to be arriving in a few.

"Do you think Aiden will accept Kaleb?" Kylie whispers

"If he doesn't I will smack the living shit out of him" I tell her

"Jasmine is terrified" She mentions

"Who knows how long it will take her to get over that, I remember when he pranked her she didn't speak to him for a month" I sigh "All we can do is be there for her" She looks to me nodding her head before leaning against me "You want to get out of here?" I could feel a sense of anxiety fill her, I could sense the wolf coming through not liking the human side be affected this way
