I really love the Percy Jackson Series but since I have started reading the Percy Jackson Fanfics on here I slowly lost sight of what the series is a as a whole because of the sheer amount of miscommunication between the books and Fanfics. But lets just get into the list.

Problem 1: Annabeth
Almost every Percy Jackson Fanfic I have seen recently has been about Percy being betrayed by Annabeth, sometimes because of outside motivations and sometimes because she is too prideful but both reasons are stupid. Annabeth may not be my favorite character but she is a important part of the story, so if you are going to make her betray Percy then make it for a good reason.
Problem 2: All Chaos Fanfics
Most of the stories in which Annabeth betrays Percy are Chaos stories which at first I thought were the coolest things ever, but then I read and I read and I read and I started to realize that these stories were poorly written and were the same plot over and over again. This concept was dumb in the first place and should not have become this big.
Problem 3: Over Powered Percy
Another common thing in these Chaos Stories is having Percy being super over powered, I normally have no problem with OP characters but people make Percy OP then have him face someone totally weaker than him and act like he cannot beat him. This is insanely common and honestly super annoying. I wish people would just leave Percy as powerful as he already is.
Problem 4: Loyalty
Everyone who knows the series knows that Percy's fatal flaw is Loyalty, however everyone seems to want to warp his loyalty into a dark hatred for everyone that ever wronged him. It is explicitly stated in the books that even if someone betrays him he would stay somewhat loyal to them, and he would never hate them. Despite this everyone continues to make him a cold, heartless, beast of a person that only cares about himself and those that have never wronged him.
Problem 5: Characters
Every Story always uses the same characters over and over again which seems like a dumb thing to say because there are only so many characters one can put in a story, but people use the same characters over and over again while ignoring all the lesser known characters.

I Don't know why but I love being able to rant, even if no one reads it. It really is peaceful. I have had these problems forever and had no one to rant to but that just makes it more satisfying to do.
