I didn't bother taking a shower or putting on cologne or even brushing my hair for this day. If Peer was going to be here for a day, then disappear and no one knows her, why should I think she would suddenly reappear? I was wrong.

I walked to school again and heard some girls "Boo" as I walked by. Not the "Boo!" like Jace loves to use to scare me but the "Boo!" as in "Boo! You suck!". Yet I didn't understand. That happened for about four cars, but then one car drove up full of guys and some stuck their heads out. They were about to say something, but stopped. Two of them faked a puking noise and stuck their fingers in their mouth. But the other one actually puked. And it landed on my shoe. "Grow up!" I screamed as they drove past. I guess it was because I reeked. I stopped to clean the puke off my shoe when I heard another car drive up. Of course it was from our school. They drove up and swerved just enough to drive over the puke. I laughed because it was all over their car, but that backfired. It splattered on me. Everywhere! I walked home to change, but Mom forced me to take a shower, which made me late, and they drove me there. Humiliation for the day? Before seven o'clock: Check!

I slipped into History and handed my late slip to Mr. Wood, but when I turned around I almost threw up myself. There she was. Sitting perfectly in the front row. The blonde curls pulled back into a ponytail, showing off her perfectly placed freckles. I stared down at her for a few seconds before she noticed me. Her eyes instantly grew wide and she motioned for me to sit down, hurriedly. I rushed to the back of the room and plopped down right as she raised her hand. "Yes, Ms. Williams?"

"May I use the restroom?"

"Of course." She stood up and started to walk towards me. "Ask!" She mouthed to me. I looked at her confused, but she kept repeating it. It finally sunk into my brain as she walked by. Well, it might have helped that she slapped my forehead as she walked by, but we'll just say it was my lightbulb going off. I shot my hand up. Mr. Wood replied, without even looking up, "Mr. Blake, go."

"Alrighy." I answered as I rushed out of the room. I turned the corner to run into Peer. "What happened to you!" She yelled, almost too loud.

"What do you-" She threw her hand over my mouth and rushed me to the other side of the lockers, a long way down the hall.

"Sh!" She demanded as she pulled me. Her hand smelt like vanilla. A pleasant vanilla. Not the kind of perfume that Shaniqua wears way too much of. "What?" I asked confused.

"Okay so what happened yesterday?" Peer whispered.

"What do you mean? What happened to you yesterday?" I demanded quietly.

"Oh no. So you know?"

"Know what?" She put her hand over her forehead and paced quickly back and forth.

"Oh no. This is not good."

"What!" I demanded, too loudly.

"Sh! Shut up and wait until I come up with a good explanation." I didn't quite understand, but I followed her command. "Alright I got it."

"Got what?"

"Do you always ask so many questions?" She demanded.

"Maybe. Only if I like the person talking." I tried to flirt, but I guess this wasn't the time.

"Very flattering." She replied, sarcastically and annoyed, "Okay, you want the truth for what's happening?"

"Uh, yea?"

"Alright. I have this, spell, on me."

"Spell?"

"Yes, Captain Obvious. It was placed on my Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother. And it has been passed down. The spell was placed on a female, and so when she has another female as a child, it will be passed down to them. And if she only has a son, when he has a female, she will receive it from her Grandmother. Luckily in my family, there are no males. So every generation has it. Now, my mother actually had two females, so it was passed to both of us. Now, we can have children, but they too will have the spell."
