::Roc's POV::

{The Next Day}

(10:12 A.M.)

"Hey Chresanto."

"Yo." I said, not bothering to look up from the computer. Females walk up to me all the time. It couldn't be too important.

"Can I borrow a pencil?" I sighed and looked over at the person who was talking to me and of course, it turned out to be Alexandria.

And damn, she looks good in red...

"Sure." I said, handing her the pencil off of my desk.

"Thanks..." She lingered there for a second as if she wanted to say something, but she didn't.

I let go of the mouse and leaned on my desk, crossing my arms. "What's up?"

"Nothing." I saw right though it, so I patted the seat next to me. I don't know what I've done with the real Roc...or at least, the one that everyone knows. I'm never this nice.

"Sit down, come talk to Dr. August."

She giggled and sat down next to me on the stool - yes, stool; they don't trust us enough to give us chairs - and crossed her legs.

"I just needed a ride home from school...but I was kind of embarrassed to ask you."

I nodded. "No problem. You can ride with me, but shouldn't you be over there with her?" I pointed towards her partner, Kelsi, sitting at their desk alone.

"Yeah..." She looked from me to Kelsi then back to me.

A thought echoed in my head: I have a bet to win.

"Or...you can just come partner with me and I'll talk to Ray about switching. Just for today." I smiled and she caved, giggling.

"I'll be right back."

I jumped down from the chair and walked over to Ray. "Change of plans. I'm working with Alexandria and you're with Kelsi."

"Say what? That girl has had a crush on me since 7th grade!"

I just laughed and patted his back. "You'll be alright man. Good luck."

He waved his freakishly long arms in the air. "Just leave, Roc. You owe me for this shit though."

I nodded, walking back to my seat as I heard him speak up from behind me. "C'mon Kelsi, we're partners."

I quickly picked up another pencil. "He said it was cool."

She smiled again as my Biology teacher reappeared from inside the supply closet with microscopes, giving them out to each group. I took it expertly and set it up in the middle of the desk, handing her the nail polish.

"Paint the bottom of both sides,"

"Okay. I can do that."

I watched her expression as she painted. She laid the leaf down on the table to dry when she finished and turned to face me, but I looked away quickly.

"I know you were looking at me."

Damn.

"I couldn't help myself, sorry. I haven't had a lab partner as beautiful as you." I smiled and she turned visibly red. Chuckling, I touched her cheeks and they flamed up even more.
