{Thursday}

(7:47 A.M.)

I got to school a little earlier than usual to talk to my teacher about my grade on some math quiz she gave. I knew it was bad, but I didn't think it was that bad.

Who gives a pop quiz on a lesson you taught a day ago anyway?

Oh that's right...Mrs. Robinson. The reason for students failing.

I pulled the door open and shut it behind me, walking to my seat. She sat in front of me.

"Well, Chresanto. Do you wanna give me another excuse or what?"

I just sighed, shaking my head.

"Really? Something really is wrong with you then. You always have an excuse."

"Not this time."

"Well what happened?"

"I don't want to talk about it, Mrs. R."

"It might help you pass a quiz. You haven't been on your A-game this week."

"Ugh, my girlfriend broke up with me, If you must know."

"Alexandria?"

I nodded.

"You never cared before."

"I know...she's different."

"Different?"

"Yeah," I said, running my hands through my hair. "Shes smart and funny and beautiful...but she hates me."

I shook my head, chuckling to myself as she nodded in response.

"I've known her for forever. I really do love her....And I'm sorry I'm dumping all this on you."

"No problem. I just want you to keep your head up. No more D's?"

I nodded.

"Now go. I know you have friends to talk to."

I got up, walking to the door slowly. "Thanks."

She nodded, smiling a little. "You're welcome."

I opened the door and walked out, bumping into Lexi.

"Sorry." I said quickly, helping her pick her stuff up. She sighed.

"It's fine, Chres-"

I gave her the last of the papers and hurried off to my locker before she could finish. I didn't need to see her right now. It killed me inside.

"Hey Chresanto."

"Sup?" I said, nonchalantly opening my locker.

"We heard you were single now."

I grabbed my book and shut the locker, turning around to face the group of girls that was surrounding me.

"Where'd you hear this?"

"Oh...ya know...twitter."

I nodded. Social networking these days.

I spotted Prince and walked off, knowing this might be my only chance to talk to him without Ray being there. He had almost every class with him today.
