(Chapter 1. Reedited and Reworked)
~~~~~~~~
The sky was very beautiful in the month of November, little specks of white falling from the twilight now turning night sky. The colors, orange pinks, blues and purples dancing throughout the snow making it look like the stars were raining down.
It was a quiet evening in the prestigious school known as True Cross Academy. The students were off studying or relaxing with friends and family. Angel and Demon alike couldn't help but feel at peace, even the great Satan himself stopped his work to look at the Assiah sky from a window in Gehenna.
The hall ways of the school ever so quiet, it was a comfortable silence but it was soon disrupted by the sound of footsteps entering from a large door. A boy about sixteen years of age stepped through, he had raven black hair and was wearing black jeans, a blue sleeveless hoodie with a pair of converse. He had a necklace with the school emblem on and was softy clutching it with his right hand as he looked left from right.
Seeing as no one was around a look of determination came across his face as he let go of the necklace and began to walk to his destination, his tail gently swaying behind him.
Without making a sound he walked up the stairs with swift long strides to the top floor and walked down the large hall way to a pair of double doors at the end of it. Stopping at the doors he held the necklace once more it and looked to the roof and floor and closed he eyes I don't care which one of you do it just please let this go smoothly I beg you, He prayed even in his mind his tone was also desperate in need for what was to come to go as well as possible.
He raised his fist to the door.
Knock! Knock!
Hearing a soft "come in," he opened the door to reveal an office not the standard plain old office with the grey walls, desk and chair, No, this was a highschool academy office decorated to an extraordinary degree, its wall was a brown color with green bits of décor lightly spread across the walls and roof. The floor had a pink and purple plush rug. There was a desk and master chair sitting right in front of a grand window. Said chair was facing the window its occupant staring at the twilight sky. There were two chairs in front of the table as well. The desk also had a big white and pink top hat on top of it.
The boy walked to the center of the room looking at the back of the master chair not bothering to stare out the window.
"Ah... Mr. Okumura what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you this fine evening?" the man asked his voice cherry, full of amusement but also coy in his actions and his emotions but his tone alone one would feel like a mere puppet to his mans every word, every feel, like clay in his hands any normal person would feel the uncurious need to become soft and moldable to his mans hands and yet the boy did not. Of course he didn't, he knew his kind very well and he wouldn't fall for such things.
The boy looked to the glass window seeing the reflection of the man's face, his face was neutral but his eyes hold confusion. The boy suppressed a smirk 'Excellent ' he thought, if the man held confusion as to why he was here than it means he had the perfect jump on it. in this moment if felt as if he were a cat, a panther creeping through the darkness of plain sight ready to take the jump on his unknowing prey. It felt....Good.
The tables were turning, the man in the chair was slowly becoming the unknowing prey .
"Well Mephisto," he started his posture relaxing, from his more tensed nature his shoulders rocked back, he allowed himself to slouch a little as he offered a smile though it wasn't his usual goofy smile, no not at all it was a smile as coy as the man, well Mephisto's voice would sound. " I just have a few questions to ask you. If you're up for them that is" he replied his voice stern and serious and his face void of emotion an odd difference to what the man, Mephisto would have known for the boy. it mildly unsettled him strangely in the pits of his stomach.
The master chair turned to face the boy, the man sitting in the chair. He had a smile on his face, he was wearing a white shirt with a pink and white polka dot necktie as well as a white and purple cape on. His hair was a blueish type of purple and he had one gravity defying curl at the center of his head. He leaned forward and presented how elbows onto the edge of the table and then His hands were folded neatly, his fingers intertwining together and gently settling just under his chin holding his head up.
"Well Rin what kind of questions do you have for me I'm sure I could answer them for you." He said looking at the boy now named Rin directly in his eyes.
Rin smiled but it was hardly friendly he had a plan and he was going to stick to it like glue. "Well older brother before I ask you anything I want you to swear on your name as the demon king of time and on the name of our father that you will answer them truthfully." Rin was mentally grinning if you were to swear on the name of a demon king you must for fill it and if you don't you will be dreadfully punished.
Mephisto's blood ran cold, eyes widening and his pupils actually dilating as he was totally caught of course the only thing that came from him was a thought. a single thought that expressed absolutely everything he was feeling.
'Shit...'
