The Accident

Avery and Corbyn left to go get Lexi an ankle brace at Walgreens. It was about 5 in the evening and they were headed right out of an intersection, when they heard a loud honk that seeming to inch closer and closer at an alarming speed behind them. The car tried to turn as Corbyn was also turning in. Corbyn, seeing the car that was going at least 90 miles an hour  towards them,  tried to swerve away. But he didn't do it in time. The big black truck pulled right into the side of their car, breaking the window into a million pieces. Avery screamed as the air bag puffed up and her seat belt restrained her from hitting her head. Corbyn reached his arm across Avery as the side of the car bounced upward. His arm was the only thing that saved her from smashing her head in the window. But meanwhile, Corbyn had gotten a huge piece of glass stuck in his arm that he was using to protect Avery. The car sat back down in its original position, except this time, all windows beside the front one were shattered. Avery still couldn't see straight, her mind seemed to be wandering in circles, trying to understand what happened. Corbyn still with his arm across Avery, winced in pain, all he could think about was how everything happened. Flashing red and blue lights was all Avery could see before she blacked out. Corbyn was very worried about Avery after he noticed her faint. Corbyn wished he would've blacked out aswell due to the extreme amounts of pain rushing through is arm. He couldn't seem to move his head either, he wasn't able to think through the fact he had major whiplash due to the flinging of the car. He saw Avery being picked up by someone wearing a mask and a suit. They placed her onto a moving bed and wheeled her into a big truck. All Corbyn could really focus on now, was that it was all his fault. It didn't matter that the truck drove into him, that he tried his best to save them, it must have been his fault. He was the one driving the car. Corbyn was imagining how Jack would never talk to him again, he hurt the person he loved so much. He thought about how when lexi found out, she would refuse to ever look at him again. These thoughts cause him more pain than the glass that was an inch deep in his skin. He was in pure shock. He could hear voices saying "it is going to be ok" and "can you hear me" but Corbyns face stayed the same. He began to feel tired, and felt himself drifting away from the pain. But what it felt like moments later he opened his eyes realizing he was in an ambulance. There were people all around him. "Corbyn, right?" One of the doctors asked him. Corbyn barely nodded his head. "Corbyn, your friend is ok. She suffered from a concussion but is being taken care of. As for you, once we get this glass out of your arm you are also going to be just fine." The doctor said while running his leg. Corbyn still could only think about what he did. The doctor helped Corbyn sit up and fed him a pill. He felt himself drifting away again, but his eyes were still open. He felt the glass in his arm being taken out, but he didn't feel a bit of pain. He could hardly focus on anything.

Back at the house
Lexi started to realize how late it was getting and how long Corbyn and Avery were taking. She called Avery and she didn't pick up. Lexi instantly got worried, she then called Corbyn who also didn't answer. She called both of them 4 more times each and didn't know what to do. She woke up Jack maybe thinking Avery was ignoring her for some reason. Jack tried calling and she didn't answer him either. "Ok no reason to worry it's late maybe their phones died it'll be ok lexi." Jack tells her. He could tell Lexi was stressing and he started to aswell. "Let's wait a little while and call again ok!" Jack says reassuringly. "Ok! Yeah! it's gonna be ok Lexi it'll be ok it's gonna be ok!" Lexi tells herself. So Jack goes back to bed and Lexi stays up trying to calm herself down. After an hour of stressing lexi gets a call. She answers really fast thinking it's Corbyn, then hears Hello is this Alexis?
Lexi-yes who is this?
Person-This is the police ma'am
Lexi-oh hello! what do ya need?
Police- it seems your boyfriend and friend have gotten into a car accident and we will need you at the hospital as soon as possible please.
Lexi's jaw drops instantly she stutters an "ok" into the phone and hangs up. She starts screaming and crying at the same time. "LEXI ARE YOU OK?!" Lexi hears Samantha yell from the top of the stairs as she is running down them. Kennedi gets up along with Zach and they run downstairs to see what happened. Lexi couldnt talk at all. "Lexi what's going on are you ok!!" Brittany yells running down the stairs. "It's Av-very" Lexi says crying. "A-andc-coor-corbe-an" she manages out. Brittany runs back upstairs and wakes up the rest of the boys. "there's something wrong with Avery and Corbyn!" Brittany screams at the boys for them to get up. They all get up and run down the stairs Jack pushing his way to the front. "Ok lexi you need to tell us what's going on it's gonna be ok!" Jack tells her. "Yeah Lexi i'm sure everything will be ok just calm down and speak to us ok" Daniel says. "Ok" Lexi says wiping her tears off her face. "Avery and Corbyn got in a car accident." Lexi says. "no!" Jack says shaking. Zach grips Brittanys hand tighter than ever before. "I-I don't know if their ok, they told me for us to go to the hospital right now." Lexi tells the scared group. Samantha puts her face into Jonah shoulder trying to hold back her tears. "Alright guys let's go see our friends." Kennedi tells them grabbing Daniels hand confidently. "It's gonna be ok guys keep your heads up our friends will be fine." Daniel tells them. They quickly hop in their cars and drive to the Hospital.

Back at the hospital
After a while, Corbyn woke up in the
hospital with his arm all bandaged, a brace around his neck, and a big black eye. He finally was completely aware of his surroundings. He looked across the room and saw Lexi in the doorway. "CORBYN!!!!" He hears as Lexi runs toward him quickly kneeling down next to his hospital bed and holding his uninjured hand. "Baby are you ok!" Lexi asks him. "I'm so glad you're ok!!" Lexi tells him. "Lexi!! I'm so sorry" Corbyn tells her. "For what Corbyn none of this is your fault you are ok!" Lexi tells him as the others walk in and start talking to Corbyn aswell except Jack. Corbyn all the sudden remembers Avery and tries to sit up. "Sweety no lay back down your gonna hurt yourself!" Lexi tells him. "No! Where's Avery is she ok!" Corbyn asks concerned. Yes Jacks with her she is awake and doing well!" Zach tells him. "Ok good! I'm so sorry guys again." Corbyn says lying back down. "Corbyn you did everything right none of it was your fault." Jonah told him. Lexi squeezed his hand tighter and layed on his bed right next to him.

"Avery!" Avery hears coming from a familiar and sweet voice. "Jack!" She says back trying to see him. "I'm right here i'm here it's ok babe i'm so glad you are ok!" Jack tells her "Hun i'm fine it's ok i'm ok you're ok everything's ok i promise." Avery says drowsy. "No! is Corbyn ok?!" She asks Jack. "Yes babe he is fine you guys are both gonna be ok alright." Jack tells his girlfriend. "Why does my neck hurt so bad?" Avery asks him. "Awe sweety you're so cute!" Jack tells her lying down next to her. "When's mommy coming?" Avery asks him. " Awe baby she'all be here as soon as she can." He says. "K now you need to rest, do you wanna watch Tangled!" Jack asks her. "Of course i do!!!" Avery tells him.
