"You can do better" that statement kept playing in my head. Kibum's right, I can do better. "Major" I glanced up to see Changyun. "Did you manage to hack in to the surveillance cameras ?" I asked curiously. His eyes veered downward. "You need to watch it for yourself, major" Changyun informed me.

Wonha stood sobbing. "Aeri" he called out my name. The mystery man looked furiously at Wonha. "Why didn't you tell me that your lover was her?!" The man punched Wonha. "W-what's wrong with Aeri?" Wonha asked looking up at the man in pain. "Her father got me caught, fired from the army, and arrested! I was in prison for 15 years because of him! I wasn't able to be there for my girlfriend and she married someone else before I got out!" He yelled at Wonha. The man sighed the turned and started walking away from Wonha. "Kill him" all the guards pulled out guns. "No! Sir please!" All of them opened fire and Wonha collapsed. "Dispose of him, make sure no one finds him" he said then walked out. Tears brimmed my eyes as I paused the footage. "They killed him?" A tear escaped my eye. "I'm sorry, major" Changyun whispered. I got up and walked out of the building.

"Why? Why couldn't I at least be over you first?" I said to the photo in my hand. The picture showed Wonha and I happily on a date, back when we were almost inseparable. "Why did you have to be an idiot Wonha?" I asked. "I did it for us" I glanced up. "There are better ways to earn money, you did something not only illegal but dangerous" I scolded. Wonha sighed and sat before me. "I promised myself I'd stop after the first time, but the money promises got higher and higher, I didn't want to refuse" he pleaded. "You should've kept your promise, I would still have you." A tear rolled down my cheek. "I never got to tell you 'I love you'" Wonha looked down. "I'm sorry, Aeri, I'm sorry for your pain" he sighed out. "If you're sorry go away, I know you're not here" I sobbed into my palms. Wonha vanished from before me. His spirit was gone. "Wonha" I called out silently.

"Major?" I glanced up at Kibum and dried my eyes. "Sorry for you to see me like this..." I mumbled and stood up. "What is it soldier?" I asked him. "I came to check on you, you're usually in the kitchen by now and I was worried if you weren't better.... major, what happened if you don't mind me asking?" His face was pure concern. My lip quivered and tears rand down my face again. "Wonha was killed" I said between my sobs. I lifted my head to look at Kibum. His look and everything about him was speechless. "He was killed because of me!" I fell to my knees sobbing. My body was pulled into a tight embrace and a gentle hand stroked my hair. "Don't blame yourself captain, everything will be fine" Kibum whispered to me and held my head to his chest allowing me to cry on him. "He killed Wonha because of him knowing me, he hates me because my father got him arrested" I sobbed. "Shhh, it's ok Major" Kibum tried to comfort me. "Does your father remember him?" He asked. I looked up to him. "My father was in an accident a few years back and doesn't remember much, he doesn't even recognize me" I pointed out. "Still, isn't it worth a shot to find out who this guy is?" I looked down again. Maybe father could remember him.

"Mom, I need you to ask dad something" I spoke into the phone . "What is it sweetie?" Mom questioned. "It's a bit confidential" I said. "There's no guarantee he'll talk to you" she stated. "I know, but I absolutely need this information" I said before she sighed. "Honey, you have a call" some shuffling was heard. "If you're a tax collector, I'm not interested" he said plainly. "I'm not a tax collector, I need to ask you something" "which is?" He questioned. "Do you remember arresting a man for illegal activities and getting him kicked out of the army?" There was a pause. "I can't say I remember that" he hung up. "Damn" I set my phone down and ran my hands through my hair. "No luck?" Kibum asked. "Like I said, his memory is poor" I stated glancing over at him. "Want me to make you some ramen?" Kibum asked rubbing my back. "Please?" "Alrighty" he got up and walked to the stove. "First lieutenant" I called out. "Yes, major?" He replied formally. "Thank you.... thank you for lending me a shoulder" I smiled. "Anytime, Major"
