The medical team asking me about Kibum had me thinking. I can't be falling for him, can I? He wouldn't return the feelings anyways so what's the point? I held a small flower in my hand that I had been picking the petals off of. "He loves me" I plucked a petal. "He loves me not" I love plucked another. Kibum is a great fellow soldier, even if him and I don't end up together, we have a great bond. "He loves me" I said realizing I had gotten to the last petal. I dropped the remaining bits of the plant and stared out at the base. "It seems like everything but him is telling me that we could be" I sighed. "Major" I heard a voice call. "Yes major?" I looked up at Sijin. "I'm sending First lieutenant Kibum into the city to get a few things, I need you to go with him." Sijin smiled cheeky. "What's with that face?" I asked. "Maybe while you're out with him, you can confess your undying love" he chucked. "Why you little!" I got up and chased Sijin until I ran into someone. "Sorry" I say quietly realizing he's holding me protectively. "It's fine, you ok?" I looked into his eyes and nodded. "Sijin is having me go with you to town" I said looking back down. "Alright then, let's get going"

I decided to wait outside the store as Kibum bought the produce we needed. "Is that the girl that the boss wants dead?" A man asked. The memory of Wonha's death played in my head, those two men were 2 of the men to kill him. They both reached to their pockets and pulled guns. "Oh fun" I mumbled. The men stepped closer. A sigh escaped my lips. "This is going to be a lot of paperwork " I grabbed the arm of one of the men, pointing the gun to himself. He pushed me back causing me to fall back. "Aeri!" Kibums voice called out, before he started fighting the other. I got up and continued fighting my opponent. "Kibum, stand still" I commanded. "Stand still?" I ran at him and latched on to Kibum, using him to swing around and kick the attackers to the ground. The attackers dropped their guns in the fall, Kibum and I took the guns and aimed at them. "Alright, you win" one of the men huffed out both tired and irritated while they raised their hands up to surrender . "Tell your boss not to chase me anymore, otherwise next time I'm sending him corpses" I ordered. "Scram" Kibum told them and the attackers left. "You alright, Aeri?" Kibum asked, checking me over. "Yeah, I'm fine" I turned to face him. "Okay now since that's over, that little move you did where I stood still and you kicked them was really cool" he smiled while doing hand gestures to explain what he was talking about. I giggled at his enthusiasm. "Come on, we need to get back to base, we have a lot of paperwork" I walked to the car. "I'll go pick up the groceries" he said then ran to the door of the store before joining me in the car.

"So you were attacked?" Sijin questioned. "Yeah, it was 2 of the men that killed Wonha, I know their faces anywhere" I explained. "Are you going to go after them?" "Nah, I told them to give their boss a warning, next time I won't be so nice. Right now we just need to be careful, anytime a soldier or medical staff leave, make sure their are at least 2 military personnel that are skilled fighters." I looked to Sijin. Major Yoo leaned on to the counter in thought. "It was just 2 men-" "and if Kibum wasn't there, I would be dead, both were armed and I didn't have enough time to draw a weapon" I stated seriously. "Major Yoo Sijin-" Kibum walked in and stopped. "Sorry, am I-?" "I was just leaving" I walked out of the mess hall.
