IT HAS GOTTEN FAR TO THE POINT THAT even Yoongi's two friends rushed up to his side. Sure, the customers were oblivious to the situation, but the three of them were aware that if they did this any longer, they'd start to get suspicious.
"What's the matter?" Hoseok stated, alarmed. He looked over to the teen that caused it all, seeing that he had grown red from embarrassment. I mean, who wouldn't get embarrassed when three owners just come up to you?
"Sorry," one of his friends began, "he was just kidding. For one, he doesn't even know how to run a restaurant."
He was instantly shoved by the said man with a teasing glare, and it was honestly thanks to him that the mood was brighter than before. Small fits of laughter filled the table, and Yoongi's expression changed to a small smile.
"Your kebabs are just so good," the man chuckled, "you would expect me to say something like this if you took me out in restaurants."
"Are you asking him out, our valued customer?" Hoseok smirked, placing an elbow over Yoongi's shoulder, which Yoongi clearly dodged. "You're being ridiculous, Hobi. We barely even know each other."
We barely even know each other.
"Of course," Hoseok sighs, "but I'm just saying! You sounded like you were hitting on our boss, young one." He averts his grin towards the younger, whilst the younger slowly bites on a tomato. "The name's Jungkook, not young one." He mutters to them with a small glare. Oh how he hated being called "the young one" by people.
Yoongi wanted to converse more with Jungkook, yet Namjoon said, "It was nice to hear your feedback, Jungkook. Please, enjoy our food as we go back to our duties. Have a great day!"
With a sudden grab of Yoongi's wrist, he was dragged back towards the counter, along with Hoseok and Namjoon leaning towards him like a whisper. "Ask him out, idiot." Hoseok mumbles, teeth gritted as his eyes gestures towards the boy, who was now resuming his lunch.
"What the fuck, Hobi. No. I barely even know him!"
The younger heaved a sigh before grabbing a wet cloth. "Fine, but at least get to know the guy. He's a kind one."
"And I'm assuming you know him?"
Hoseok smiled, using his wet cloth to wipe some unnecessary dust off the table. "He's my friend, Yoongi. And he'll be yours too." He shot him one last look before he went out, serving the customers with his signature heart smile.
Yoongi drummed his fingers on the polished wood of his counter, his mind full of thought. Did he need to be so desperate on his and that Jungkook's friendship?
He shook his head, followed by an eye roll. Why was he pondering so much on this anyway? Who is he to decide his friendships? Yoongi released a scoff, opening the cash box to enumerate his current earnings.
"However, it wouldn't be so bad to take him out for coffee sometime..." He looked up from his cash, his eyes wandering over Jungkook, who was yet again sobbing over 'the richness of this perfect proportional lamb skewer'.
Yoongi wasn't aware of the chuckle that caught the attention of Namjoon when he passed by to place the trays. All we could say was that there was a tease, and there was a little bit of an embarrassing blush as well.
Maybe he should take him out for coffee.
