"SO, HOW'S THE DATE GOING?" Hoseok nudges a tired and done Yoongi once the two have settled on their respective seats. They chose a more secluded spot, considering that the store is still quite new and famous, hence driving the media to this corner of the street almost everyday."Got a text from Jimin saying that he saw you two together in the café! How's it going so far?" The now orange-haired man asks his friend and boss in a seemingly curious manner, leaving Yoongi unconvinced.
"It was going great, not until a bunch of hooligans popped out of nowhere and began bickering behind us." A cold hiss came out of Yoongi's mouth once he recited those, unaware that the younger who sat opposite of him already felt slightly terrified of the Kokebab owner. As the saying goes, it takes putting down some layers in order to reach the person's true self. In this case, Jeongguk didn't know how deep he dug into planet Yoongi.
"Sorry 'bout that. My co-workers are, uh, how do I put this...out of their minds today." Yoongi faces Jungkook with an apologetic look, a look that consisted of sorry, puppy eyes, and an exasperated soul that Jungkook could've sworn he must've dug even deeper into Yoongi's personality. "O-Oh, I can see that. Then, I must apologize for mine as well. Not only did they embarrass us, but themselves as well. You should say the same for your friends over there. Take it as an act of karma."
The elder nods in consideration, hand on his masked cheek as he watched Jungkook ramble on about many other things. He is interesting, he thought to himself when he was supposed to be listening to Jeongguk about friendship and all that. Why haven't I met you before?
"What?"
Yoongi snapped out from his trance, and faced Jungkook. A little tint of red painted the younger's cheeks, and the older paled at what he thinks he might've heard.
Did I fucking say that out loud?
Thankfully, Namjoon suddenly came in with their lamb skewers, chuckling at the sight of the two flustered men. "You two are adorable." He leaves after that comment, making the two even more flustered. This is bullshit, Yoongi curses, how can I be feeling these stuff on the first day?
A small clear of Jungkook's throat resonated through Yoongi's ears, as the older caught himself in reality once more and gazed upon his so-called "date". He was now fiddling with the stick, examining the lamb skewer as if he were inspecting it. However, he seemed solemn. This made Yoongi slightly concerned.
"Well, we really haven't met before," he starts off, shrugging as he finally picks the stick and chews on the first meat that goes in contact with his mouth, "but one thing's for sure is that I've met you in my dreams."
This, for some reason, makes Yoongi frown.
