"Babe!" I heard Damon yell. He was finally home from work.
"I'm in the kitchen," I called back, knowing he could hear me without yelling. I finished filling all the pet bowls. When I turned around, Damon was placing his work bag on the island counter. "Hey, handsome," I smiled, walking around to meet him.
"Hi," he whispered softly, grabbing me by my hips. Our lips met in a long kiss. Until his phone started ringing.
"Mm. Ignore it," I mumbled, pressing my lips back to his and keeping my arms firmly around his neck.
"Baby--I can't," he said, struggling to pull himself away. I pouted, hugging him as he let me go and pulled his cellphone out. "Hey, man. I just got home--Haha. Yeah, I gotta walk the dogs. I wanna change then I'll meet you guys."
"Meet who, where?" I asked, raising a brow and looking at him in disbelief.
"That's Sky, who else?" He chuckled. "I gotta go. I'll text you--Fine, I'll text Ric. Yes, dude... What? ...Okay. Bye."
"Who was that? And where do you think you're going?" I questioned.
"Out with the guys. Is that okay?" He snorted.
I frowned, "why didn't you tell me you made plans for the night?"
"I was going to tell you when we were done kissing," he shrugged and I dropped my arms from around him. "I'm sorry Kai called."
"You just were out with the guys yesterday, Damon. Why can't I have you tonight?" I asked and he furrowed his brows.
"What's up with you? You have me everyday," he said softly, lowering his head to press his forehead against mine. "I didn't think it would be a big deal."
"Tomorrow's your birthday," I frowned. "We are having a party for everyone to come drink with you. Why do you have to go out tonight?"
"Sometimes I like my guy time, that's all. But if you don't want me to go. I won't--"
"You'll have guy time, tomorrow."
"No," he snorted. "It's not the same--Don't worry about it, baby. I'll just call the guys and tell them next week. Okay?"
"No, no. Just go shower or whatever," I sighed. "It's your birthday weekend. You should be allowed to choose what you want to do. It's fine, baby."
"Sky, if you don't want me to go, say so now. I will go take the dogs then shower and leave. If you wanna be selfish just tell me, baby... I can stay in with my wife," he smirked at me, grabbing my hips again and tugging me to him.
"No, seriously go," I said. He pecked my lips and mumbled a thank you before rounding up the dogs.
I sighed as he left with the four of them. I was going to bake a cake, order from his favorite place...I bought a cool bath bomb and candles...lingerie. But I guess the last bit could wait then.
It was about him. Not me. He could go out with the guys and have a few drinks. He deserves it. And he has been home all week with me except for well, tonight and yesterday he went straight to the bar for happy hour after work.
I had plopped on the couch, Moke in my lap and Wednesday by my feet. TV turned on to watch Drake and Josh reruns. Damon walked the dogs, came back. While he was showering my pizza for one had arrived. "Okay, baby. I'm off," Damon said, coming behind the couch and leaning over to kiss my cheek.
"Mm. You're wet," I laughed, feeling his wet hair against my face. I turned to face him, puckering my lips. He gave me a sweet kiss and then looked around me.
