Chapter 28- Abnormal
Ashton's POV

Wait, what am I doing? I just left Mia there alone with Felicia. She's a very dangerous women and is capable of doing anything, even killing Mia. I'm so fucking dumb, and I realize that once I walk out of the ballroom.

I need to go back.

It's not like I care about Mia, because I don't care about her, but she has her friends waiting for her.

I run back into the ballroom with the case in my hand, pushing through the guest to get to the room where I left Mia alone.

Once I enter the room, I was shocked to see Felicia on the floor unconscious, blood dripping down her face. Mia looks at me without an expression. There's blood dripping out of her mouth and there's a gun in her hand.

"Did you kill her?" I ask,

"No I didn't." She replies before wiping the blood with the back of her hand holding the gun, "let's leave." She says and I just nod.

"But we can't go from the ballroom with you looking like this." I said. Her hair was messed up, she had blood on her face, and she has a freaking gun in her hand.

My fake wife's a badass.

She removes her heels and holds it in her other hand. "Come this way." I say before grabbing her arm and leading her out of the room.

I walk further down the hallway and take a right before finding the emergency exit which led to the parking lot. Once we were in the parking lot, I walk towards the reserved parking areas to find my name.

I found my car and we both get inside before driving out of here.

We both stay silent through out the drive to the mansion. I continuously glance at Mia, making sure that she's fine. I mean, not that I care.

In a few more distance, I stop on the side of the road. "Why'd you stop?" She asks. I ignore the question and reach at the back to get the first aid kit.

After cleaning up the blood from her mouth, I dip the cotton into some antiseptic before cleaning up the cut, making her hiss in pain.

I continue driving on the road leading to the house. And just like before, there was pin drop silence in the air.

I check the living room first and then the kitchen, but no one was in there, meaning that mom, Liam and Abigail are already asleep.

Once we enter our room, Mia walks straight into the washroom, without saying a single word. What's wrong with her? She doesn't seem like her usual self, which is pretty abnormal.

Her mood's probably off because of what happened today. I mean, what happened to her today shouldn't have happened, and it did because of me.

She leaves the washroom, dressed up in her pajamas. Just like before, her expression was blank, and she didn't utter a word. I decided to just leave her alone and change into my sweatpants, which I did in just a few minutes.

I walk up to the bed and sit on the edge, watching Mia as she scribbles down her book. I wonder what's in that book. She never leaves it. After being done with her scribbling, she places her book on the bedside table and lies down before covering herself with the blanket.

"Mia-" I start, "look, what ever happened today was completely my-"

"Cut if Ashton, I don't need to hear anything. It already happened and now it's in the past. Forget about it." She says, shutting me up.

Looks like there no point of apologizing.

"Are you asleep?" I ask, but get no response. She's probably asleep.

I just shake my head and was about to go to sleep, but I was so curious about what's so interesting in that book, that my curiosity got the best of me, making me take her book.

I flip through some pages and found an interesting page. It's a,
