"And now we will commence the national high school basketball competition, the WINTER CUP."
A light blue haired high school girl student with pale to crystal blue eyes, depending on her mood her eye color changes, stands together with her team at the court piled with other school teams with their coaches and managers at their side like them. She is wearing the white, black and red jersey jacket of her team and a black wristband on her left wrist. She turns her attention to the person beside her. The person looks like her with shorter hair, a lot shorter, has blue blank gaze and the person is a male. "Are you okay?" she queries.
"I should be the one asking that. As your older brother, I am worried if you are ready to be in this place?"
The female scowls and snorts. "You are only two minutes older than me, Tetsu. Besides, we will not meet him until the end, just like in a game. For you to beat the boss, you have to gain experience first." She didn't dare to roam her gaze for she is afraid to meet the eyes of people she is familiar with.
"Two people," Tetsu reminds his sister about the people she still didn't meet in person.
"I know, a giant and a midget," she answers.
"You, two, we'll go back to the locker room," the coach shouts in reprimand to the siblings talking so seriously.
"Yeah," they reply and follow their team.

In high school basketball, there are three major championships; the summer 'inter-high', the fall 'national sports meet', and the winter 'winter cup'. The biggest among them supposedly is the summer 'inter-high', but, by having sponsors and broadcasts on television; the winter cup has gained momentum year after year. Maybe now, the winter cup is at the same level of the summer inter-high or maybe higher.
"WHAT IS THAT IDIOT DOING?" Riko Aida, the coach of Tetsu's team, screams in fury for their missing teammate. "THE OPENING CEREMONY HAS ENDED."
The team has sweat on their face in fear of their coach and in fear for their missing team member.
"Apparently he forgot about the time difference and says he'll be here soon."
Freshmen gawk, like fish in the water, at the prestigious-ness of the winter cup ceremony, courts, equipment, the size of the stadium and even the monster players they will be playing against.
The captain, Junpei Hyuuga, slaps the head of the freshmen. "It's not like we were invited to be the audience. It's alright. Just be confident."
The female manager chuckles in amusement on how nervous the captain really is even with his cool speech with the freshmen. She then feels her phone vibrating in the jacket's pocket. She pulls it out and looks at the message as she flips her white phone. She hides her reaction in a stoic face.
